I’m surprised, given what people have said about being in the general area of Phil, that no one has scoped him out on his day off.

That said you’re wasting your day playing Private Eye so I guess it’s lose-lose. Still surprised though as people were flying out cross-county to interact with Chris but then again you’re blowing cash on following Phil.

I think the difference is you can't really interact with Phil. Even if a genuine fan spotted him in the wild, I think Phil would just say the bare minimum and nervously waddle away the first chance he got. If he ran into a troll in the wild, he'd aggressively complain about how stalkers won't leave him alone and he needs your support to stop these crazy detractors. If it was a fan, he'd passive aggressively complain about his privacy being invaded and how he needs your support.

Shifting gears back to the Xbox, there's a lot of reasons I don't think a fan sent it, but the biggest one is the timing. If it had happened out of the blue a few weeks ago, I'd believe it was a fan. But the fact it happened almost immediately after his begathon is a pretty huge smoking gun to ignore. He's also been signaling he planned to get an Xbox for awhile. Phil is an incredibly predictable person, which is exactly why so many people were able to guess he'd end up with a new Xbox from the moment the begathon was announced.

Ten to one the most macho male figure in Phil’s life drank them and he just started emulating them at some point and gradually slid into alcoholism.

So, inertia, which seems to be the reason Phil does many things.

It's funny to dunk on Phil's old lady tastes but I believe his true love is rum & coke. I also believe he switched to gin & tonic because it has less calories but that's just a theory.
Gin is the meme but Phil drinks a lot of different drinks. In this video he accidentally sheds a little light on his drinking habits by saying "recently if I'm drinking vodka I mix it with grapefruit juice (not verbatim)." His taste is pretty fruity ngl.

Any trolling scheme that requires you to sink 10k into the person you're gayopping is more embarrassing for yourself than anything. OiC buddy, spend that money on your parents. Put a down payment on an RV so they can travel the country in their retirement. Buy your dad a bottle of top shelf whiskey or buy your mom a beagle puppy.

He claims he was worried about it being a joke or something other than an Xbox console before it actually arrived but as soon as he saw the box/opened it, he knew it was safe. At that point it could have still been a broken console or some other kind of trick. He would not have actually plugged it in and booted it up on stream if there's was the possibility it could have been bricked or something. He knew this was a brand new console directly from a retailer.

Another part to this whole thing not a lot of people have talked about and is another unlikely occurrence that just happened to align perfectly for phil, is the fact that this fan didn't want recognition for sending phil the Xbox as a gift. Why would you send someone a brand new console for free and not even want some recognition amongst this little fanbase you are supporting? Why do whales have no problem having their internet personas attached to large amounts of tips but when it comes to TVs and consoles, they always want their usernames hidden?

Its just another in a long chain of unlikely events that had to happen perfectly for Phil's story to make sense.
