I've seen people point out his lack of earlier internet presence as evidence that the whole thing is an act. I believe he said he had an older YouTube channel but then Leaf told him to make a new one for his birthday or some shit. He said he was just too scared to talk on anything until he learned there were websites where you could be anonymous. He also apparently had a tendency to use his real name for accounts before /vp/ made him terrified of getting doxxed. For example when people played Smash against him they saw his name was John (also the name of his old Red save file) and he said it was because he thought you HAD to use your real name for it.

While i don't believe this is entirely an act on PL's part, I do think he plays up some of his difficulties to be more severe than they actually are, like his language problems. I've seen him write nearly perfectly fluent English and recall a member of his previous discord saying he doesn't speak like he types. Beyond a shallow vocabulary, he has no problem reading others' messages and understanding normal written English with respect to grammar. Yet when he has 4chan-induced shitfits and sperges out on twitter, he writes as though he's ESL.

It's safe to say that he is a very...... emotive writer. Like yeah he can read other people's text properly, but I guess he needs his voice to be heard so the allcaps button gets pressed once and neglected forever. You can safely assume he doesn't know about punctuation, in my opinion, since he never uses them. He probably sees them as unnecessary flairs at the very most.

I think it's a mood thing. Even on twitter when he's not being spastic he types... decently normally. Obviously it's like the regular typing of a 10 year old, but when he's mad he goes full blown incomprehensible.

On a side note, PL has no idea how lucky he is that 1) leaf is a solid sync pair and 2) sync pairs can't be manually consumed unlike most gacha games.
