He's not just getting his haircut, he's getting it colored jet black. That's why he has to have his "haircut" done so regularly. How many men have you seen in your life with hair loss, graying beard (almost fully gray these days), yet perfectly dark hair without a single strand of silver?
I present that good old nigger shit for a tenth the cost.

More seriously, the upside down fork shocked me. Like, using a fork is so automatic that I actually had to mime it a bit to see if this was just something mundane made strange because of over-analysis or truly abnormal, and yes, the guy did fail at using a fork.
My theory for the unusual fork use is tied to the weird grimaces and the duck-like lack of chewing- his teeth are bad. Tooth sensitivity is weird animal (apparently the body start reacting and adjusting food location and jaw position before the individual is even aware of a problem) and people tend to develop conscious or unconscious habits to accommodate the various symptoms of cavities, typically sensitivity to pressure, temperature and specific food textures such as sugar.

After rewatching the video that the picture came from, I would guess he hold it that way because it makes it easier (or he thinks it makes it easier) to cut or tear chunks of the food off the fork with his incisors instead of taking the entire piece of food at once and chewing it with his molars; the initial tearing with incisors means bites of food are smaller and can be chewed using only premolars and swallowed quickly, so indicating some discomfort when food contacts the molars.

All that said, seeing as @Fill Bern El seems to be in the middle of a "DSP Tries It" deep dive, he might be able to shed light on whether this failure to use basic utensils is an old problem.

I've watched every episode of DSP Tries It from 2012-late 2014 and can say with confidence that there is no indication of a tooth problem. This motherfucker was ravenous during these videos. Now with that being said if you look at the most recent DSP Tries It, not counting the feasting with the king bullshit, from February 6th 2021 he once again shows no indication of a tooth problem. If there is indeed a problem with his teeth it had to have been starting to show somewhat recently, which I can't really rule out. However, my personal reasoning would be as follows:

DSP the entire video is taking small bites of everything. On the assumption that he does like the food, either
1.) DSP can't handle the spiciness, therefore he's forced to just take small bites of all the food. There's more meat on that side of the fork so he just ate it like that.
2.) DSP prevents an "overload" of flavor by taking small bites. This one is a little bit harder to explain, so I'll try my best with an anecdote. Personally I like yogurt, but a mouthful of yogurt will kind of turn me off from the flavor and make me feel sick, therefore I eat it at a slower pace with smaller bites. It's kind of like guacamole or salsa. It's enjoyable in small amounts, and even better with something with it, but usually it doesn't taste good, or as good, when you have a mouthful of just guacamole or salsa.

edit: And to share light on utensil use, DSP rarely uses utensils since he has a thing for burgers, chicken, and the like. But I can also say with confidence on the videos he did use utensils that he did use them correctly, outside of the ramen episode.

holy shit.

i couldn’t make it 15 seconds into some dsp tries it vids. Farm animals have more manners and self awareness when chewing.

should we start a gofundme for future therapy for @Fill Bern El? You are a much stronger person than i.
