I didn't really start watching the NijiEN girls until the most recent EN auditions were announced, but I'm liking them a lot so far. Mainly Pomu and Elira. Also, I noticed whoever normally does the rigging for Niji does it in a way that really hits me. I can see it with Pomu and Elira, but even before that I noticed that Ange, Lize, Sasaki, and Hima all kinda animate in that way. May be different riggers among them, but definitely similar style.

Blacks prefer Popeyes over KFC so there’s that. I don’t know many black that watch anime and openly declare so but those that did are a massive closet otaku and weeb. Though recently I overheard one of my black coworker humming Amelia’s streaming theme so I assume they prefer gamer girls like Ame or rapper like Calli over generic idol type like Kiara.
Speaking of pop singer, IRyS is about to hit 500K a week after debut, incoming chicken numberfagging since her Jpop niches will get overshadowed by IRyS real soon. The chicken might need to find something to works on now that JPop might no longer an option (unless she drops her annoying high pitch voice and just stream and sing with her regular voice)

I don't think it'll have a resolution tbh it doesn't feel like a Haachama-style ARG. It just feels like a gag arising from her well-documented new Minecraft addiction and the fact she asked Elira to collab with her and Elira responded by blocking her from chatting in her stream.

Most people rocking anime pfps are typically black guys who grew up watching the likes of Toonami during the Western anime boom in the late 90s and early 2000s.

I'm revisiting some predictions I made in March of 2021.

My completely unsubstantiated predictions for the next 6 months

NijiEN will surprise everyone and do really well (like, a member will get 100k subs in the first month)

Ichikara would be pleased with these numbers. NijiEN has exceeded expectations.

Nijiholo company wars will be imported to the west and ruin every discussion about vtubers forever,

This doesn't look like it's happening yet. The gap between nijiEN and holoEN is still too big for there to be any form of rivalry and all the talent on both sides are good people with enough common sense to not cause yabs.

Cover will continue to shit it's pants and make stupid management decisions,

A Hololive JP member will graduate or semi-retire,

View numbers overall will continue to plateau,

Growth is steady but no longer accelerating the way it was in 2020. Average viewer numbers are still growing.

Overseas public interest vtubers will decline, less tourists and "react" type of content from normies,

This ended up happening in the sense that tertiary content about vtubers is less likely to end up recommended. Youtubers like nuxtaku, koefficient and herohei have mostly moved on.

Twitch will start pandering to vtubers in some lame and cringe way because YouTube won't,

Surprisingly this hasn't happened yet. The only notable change is the addition of tags for vtubers.

Nyanners is going to get even bigger and 4chan will seethe about it
