I don't think there's a single V-Tuber in or outside of Hololive worthy of crushing amounts of ridicule. Like I'll rag on Kiara because I don't find her entertaining, and even if she's improved in recent weeks, it's going to have to come down to circumstance before I'm willing to give up time to watch her over doing other stuff.
But that's all there is to it, and I think that's the extent of anyone's ire here in this thread. No one wants her to quit and no one begrudges her being successful. It's a unilaterally good thing that she's stuck with her dream and finally made it.
That said, she IS a divisive member. If not for English being her 3rd language leading to issues with reading the room, jokes not landing, or jokes not being taken well, Kiara is usually at her best and most comfortable when she's with JP senpai streaming for a JP audience. Her first original song was entirely in Japanese, and she's more closely affiliated with UsaKen and the JP Minecraft server than she is the EN one.
These factors are real eyebrow-raisers when we are talking about 1 of 5 people out of at least 6,000 chosen to represent and cater towards the Western audience.
I think when she perfectly held together that Among Us collab with her translations, most people expected more of that content and it never really came. International collabs have been painstakingly few and far between and I honestly feel like it's held back how important Kiara can actually be to the company. HoloTalk is one thing, but vetted and sanitised questions that repeat every interview gets stale and uninteresting quite quickly to me (this isn't a Kiara problem, lots of them do this, and my face melts whenever one asks another for their panty colour); and it relies heavily on the guests having interesting and unsanitised answers in response.
I think all this has had issues with her growth (we are talking big numbers but I guess she's focused more on the speed she's got there over the fact she even got there at all). Resulting in behaviour that is easy to poke at.
