Like I said above, if it's fake someone went to a HELL of a lot of effort to write multiple stories in a teenager's writing style, come up with shitty cover designs, respond to user comments, etc. All over a period of more than a year.

It does seem too good to be true, but what's the pay off? I wouldn't put it past someone to fake it, and it's certainly possible given how much info about her is in the public domain ... if that's the case then kudos to the person behind it because it's pretty damn convincing.

Someone mentioned that a deleted subreddit had debunked it, if so I'm really curious as to what they came up with to disprove it. A reverse image search of the DP used doesn't return any hits from elsewhere.

Theres a lot of differences between Jazz and David Reimer. Reimer was certainly not a fruit, he felt masculine during his childhood while Jazz was a gay boy in the making. I also doubt mother Jennings didn't have perverted intentions herself. She probably wanted a trans kid she could plaster everywhere for fame and attention.

I don't think there's any reason to think it's actually Jazz.

I wouldn't think it needs to be debunked, more that it'd need to be established as Jazz in the first place.

There's a lot of coincidences, e.g. promo-ing an account that just happens to have the same unusual name as one of her friends who later appeared on the show...

Interesting video. I still find it strange how "a boy wearing mom's shoes" example for a males equates to "a girl climbing trees" for females. I'm usually not much for any of the gender role stuff but since when did climbing trees become a boy-only activity?

Regardless, I completely agree that these are/could be normal behaviors for any child.

Climbing trees is a pass-time for anyone with trees. I still climb trees. There's a kind of peace that can only be achieved by sitting in a tree.

It was a thing in my family for all the grandchildren to climb the giant tree in my grandparents back yard for a photo during Thanksgiving. Wearing a skirt? Doesn't matter, get in the tree for the photo. Guess all us girls are secretly trans and not going along with the ideas of the parents (though I will admit, seeing the years we did this all next to one another is cute).

I grew up during a time where people were trying to erase the stigma of "girl" toys and "boy" toys but now if a little boy wants an easy bake oven or a mermaid doll it's a sign that he's actually a girl and not a child wanting a particular toy. We've gone backwards!

Maybe this is off-topic, but with a phone hotline style of format I see things getting a bit...awkward. I can imagine people calling in sounding very much like their biological sex, misgenderings, all that fun stuff. But I suppose the callers are trained about that.

On the topic of children's toys and games being gendered, I'm trying to remember what I and others my age thought about it when I was a kid. Obviously I don't remember as much before age 5 or so. I can never tell if kids are more open and accepting of others at a young age, or more brutally honest about if they find things weird. I don't work around kids often or have any of my own. But growing up I was never seen as a candidate for counseling even when I went through a stage of making my mom buy me clothes from the boys' section in elementary school. It was just "oh, I guess that's more comfortable for her." I'm ever so thankful of that.
