Have a Great Day!

edit: Realized I forgot to date this 9-2-15. Since edits don't appear to let you change thread titles, could a helpful mod do me a solid?

It won't be the same if people pay Chris to make new comics.
I have a feeling he'll start making them again anyway, because once he gets an idea in his head he runs with it.

Paying him to make more comics is like pity sex, except you don't even get laid.

I'll never tell someone to not spend money on Chris stuff, but it should be mentioned that you could probably get some fucking awesome art thing from @Dollars2009, @_blank_, @BOLDYSPICY!, or @Trickie for $100.

I wonder if there's any way to get him to specify what he wants to be paid per page for new Sonichu.

That's super sweet of you, but I tend not to take commissions.

EDIT: Also hang on a minute...

As a devoted fan to the Sonichu and Rosechu Comic Book Series, I am certain you do want to see More Pages since I ended up with Creator's Block and forced into Hiatus in 2011. Well, I, Christian, now Christine, Weston Chandler, am getting back into the drawing, writing and coloring recently, and working on a schedule that works around my projects as well. And then, I have my own typical stresses in Life and all.

And if you don't feel like buying a medallion, commission, or figure from me, I offer you a chance to donate towards my own peace of mind to further and better draw and create. $10 for One Full Written, Drawn and Colored Page in my current Book, makes a great difference and everyone wins.

And for each person who donates through here, I will draw and send a single Character Drawing as a sign of gratitude. Requests for drawing content are welcomed, but if no request is made, I shall draw a fresh drawing of Sonichu. **Limit One Drawing Per Person, Per Day.

Thank You for your help.

Is that really a feasible business practice? The donation amount is only set to $10 after all. Unless Chris is planning to send digitally, this seems rather generous. What if Chris is swamped with a bunch of people donating?

this has likely been brought up before, but what he ought to do now is go ahead and start drawing a new episode, or even subepisode, and release a teaser cover/pages as an incentive for people to actually give him money to complete a new comic. It would be much more effective than his current attitude of "give me money first and I'll consider it". I bet the sales on that alone would eclipse his initial ebay autographed portraits/medallions when they first debuted. plus he could autograph the new original pages (prior to the added comic sans font) and sell those too. give the people what they want.

I'm not against someone making money for their work, but this is just too damn cynical. I reccomend anyone who is considering donating to read this post.

Time was that Chris would churn out hundreds of comic pages for free, because he genuinely thought his franchise was the best thing since sliced bread and thought he would make a killing from it. Now that he's demanding money on a per-page basis it's clear he's lost all faith in it because it didn't turn into the golden goose he hoped, but is going to use people's money as an incentive to sketch up a load of old bollocks anyway.

It's clear now that Chris has become more lazy than ever before but has seen an opportunity to make some money from a donation campaign that has no structure, no milestones, no stretch goals or even a target amount (unlike a Kickstarter campaign), and yet is based entirely on trust. He hasn't stated what he needs the money for, what he will put it towards in terms of improving his product, how many pages there will be per issue or even why he needs that specific amount per page (besides greed). There are also no dates or any information regarding when we will see these comic pages, so you'd be giving free money to a buffoon who'd blow it on toys and shit, then eventually get around to reluctantly squirting out a phoned-in piece of rubbish for you when you pestered him enough or when he 'felt like it'. We've seen this happen a hundred times before.

Anyone stupid enough to donate is basically throwing their money into a black hole made of Lego. This whole thing reeks of laziness; he couldn't even be bothered to draw an image promoting the funding campaign, instead recycling the first page of the abominable Christmas Special and calling it a day. This is Chris wanting to make money based on trust, and doing so by putting in the absolute bare minimum effort. Lack of effort does not inspire trust, especially where money is concerned.

Essentially, Chris is offering you the opportunity to drop ten bucks on something that has no guarantee of quality, no time scale for delivery and wont even exist until he arbitrarily feels up to making it (if that day ever comes at all). This has been mishandled right out the gate and the reason for this is simple. Chris is not a businessman. He's a child. Do not afford a child any trust with your money, especially when he has all the power and control in this deal.

People, I know as well as the next guy that it would be hilarious to see the continued retarded adventures of Chris-Tran Sonichu etc. but please don't buy into this. Make him actually work for your money and your trust.
