Diseased Neo-Pagans / Witches on the Internet / Witchblr - SMT IRL, but with fatties

You know, the brand behind the Birkin, the most expensive purse in the world is named after Hermes? And here you are taking a few coins to buy groceries.
So you're saying this guy is an acolyte?
Where are they getting their information from then?
Their ass.
Also, good. Let it be destroyed.
What does this even mean?
Spiritual AGP.
Why do all of these people have daddy issues?
Cause and effect. A lack of a strong/loving/supportive father leads them to seek out a spiritual replacement.

Sorry to double-post, but I found this witch while grabbing things for another thread:

They are raw expressions of the world around you.
Once again we accidentally stumble into truth. They see the world itself as needing to fit their ideals.

Unrelated, here's a bunch of idiots discussing and using "fae" pronouns:

TL;DR: If you don't let us use "Fae" pronouns you're a white supremacist TERF. Also Celtic paganism in general is an open practice because we say it is.

Didn't know there was a wiccan lolcow thread here.

i posted this awful deck in the SJW art thread but for those of you who don't browse that place take a look at this garbage:

The artist of the cards looks exactly how you'd imagine her to look:

And of course diversity is the deck's biggest selling point - for the low, low price of $90 you, too, can own these oversized eyesores!

The people who unironically buy these things look exactly as you'd imagine as well.

Copying my same sperg from before before I elaborate.
It's all so ugly!
Do they actually like how ugly it is, or are the customers buying it as indulgences to pay off their white guilt? Maybe the artist takes a masochistic delight in creating ugly things and making people pay for them? Maybe it's all a troll-op and she's drawing them as they truly look irl to force them to see themselves as others see them?
I just can't wrap my head around the idea that someone made this set thinking it was genuinely good art, and is selling it to people who genuinely enjoy said art.
If that is how it truly is, then I can't see these people as the same species as me.
The ability to see beauty is the beginning of our moral sensibility. What we believe is beautiful we will not wantonly destroy.
- Reverend Sean Parker Dennison
And to elaborate further:
There's a lack of spirituality and beauty/awe in so much of religion and spirituality these days. It's like the "Church in a strip mall" thing I also mentioned in the consoomer thread. There's an emptiness to all of this, and sometimes I wonder if the people consuming all this, and participating in all this, even know what's missing. Like asking a child who has never seen a butterfly if they miss seeing them in summer.

Thread content as payment for me being a retard.

I don't know what half the things on /r/WitchesVsPatriarchy have to do with witchcraft. It's just "aesthetics", sexual identity, and consumerism as a personality:

The postmodern civic religion worships ugliness and disability, and beauty and success are sins. I think you're spot on about it being partly due to white guilt forced on people by the system, but it also has to do with the natural degeneration of people with too much free time. Self-destruction is caused by idleness.

Idle hands are the devil's tools as they say.

I think the ugly/disability thing comes from the messages that was pushed a lot in 90s/Early 2000's media which was about inner beauty rather than physical beauty. While the original message is one that goes back thousands of years and has an element of truth to it ("True beauty comes from within.") this has been corrupted to the point that merely looking unflattering thanks to lack of taking care of oneself or having a disability makes you beautiful regardless of how you treat yourself and others. It's a get out of jail free card at this point.

I absolutely think people turn to this stuff because of too much free time too. Most religious people I know IRL are some of the busiest people I've ever met - they don't spend all day tweeting about their newest Bibles, making dumb emoji prayers or arguing over things that western Christians are taking from other cultures. They have bills to pay, houses to clean and mouths to feed - to them religion gives them a little bit of joy and a place to stand still and breathe when life gets tough. I don't see that happening with the Neo-Pagan/Witchblr community.

The only reason we even had the eddas is because a Catholic historian gave enough of a shit to write them down and compile the stories and oh noes, turns out much of the fairy folklore and lore we know today comes from the writing of a christian minister and folklorist , The "fairy minister" had to be secretly pagan, he had to be reee

Let it be known that, in spite of the claims that it destroys cultures, Christianity has long been pretty content to archive pagan folklore to the best of their ability and read it as fun stories, while the native populations typically did not have proper written languages to record them with.

norsemen also enjoyed looting and burning the monasteries containing said written folklore so in that regard that was probably a big self own.

Also a shitload of pagan practices, holy places, and cultural things were violently brought to an end by their own people in an attempt to ingratiate themselves with western european rulers. So it's just self-own all the way down really, if it wasn't for christian chroniclers there'd be not a thing left.
