I feel like a dumb ass not seeing it sooner. Good job @Buffle Dag .
Are you maybe mistaking my name/post for the one right above you? I have no opinion or information on Hector or other people involved. I feel nothing I posted would've opened your eyes to any connections to these people.

I'm not sure if anyone actively dove into this yet, I only saw one farmer complain that it didn't give too much information. They were probably retarded.

If you actually do search for "Wayne Beckett" you'll find plenty of very convincing references that this is an actual person/project manager for a company that works on a field closely related to what byuu/Near did. Let's follow the trail. Use DuckDuckGo and follow along.

First result I got was a LinkedIn directory:
10+ "Wayne Beckett" profiles | LinkedIn
The Wayne Beckett that stands out here is at Datapower Development in Hong Kong. It's not Japan, but at least somewhat close. Wayne talks about "People in the Tokyo office" so there's multiple locations of their company. Datapower sounds at least somewhat related to IT stuff.

Way down the list is a link to a 2012 ArsTechnica article that strikes gold:
How the new Game Genie lets you hack your PS3 saves | ArsTechnica
This is as close to what byuu/Near did with emulation as you can get. Of course they might not have been save game hacking or whatever, but it's console related, pretty deep reverse engineering stuff.

The ArsTechnica article mentions that Wayne works for Hyperkin, probably another or earlier business name for Datapower Development. If you then search "Hyperkin Wayne Beckett" on DuckDuckGo you find all kinds of references to Wayne in their position as a project manager related to console hacking and emulation. Here's a few samples:
https://github.com/ekeeke/Genesis-Plus-GX/issues/111
https://patents.google.com/patent/US5941775A/en
https://patents.google.com/patent/US6042478A/en
https://firmfasr946.weebly.com/how-to-hack-ps2-save-games.html

And one of the more smoking guns:
https://github.com/snes9xgit/snes9x/issues/264
Where Wayne is again quoted as is, but with the Datapower company name and referring to a distributor in Japan. And related to Snes9x.

I think you all sure left a lot of investigation on the table. The above doesn't prove that @Wayne Beckett is real life Wayne Beckett, but given their statements, the subject topic and context it does kind of start to connect together. No hard facts, but I think there's a bit of credibility building to the entire story. Some of the links above go back many years, nobody in the world would be planning a fake trail with fake names and fake companies for a fake persona that didn't exist yet for that long I think.

Fact is that "Wayne Beckett" is an actual person. Working at a company that is closely related to byuu/Near's field of expertise. Having at least a main office in China. Referring to a subsidiary in Japan. Even though KF @Wayne Beckett might be an imposter, the trail itself does start to make sense and starts to connect to byuu/Near.

Next up would be to prove that byuu/Near worked for Datapower Development, Hyperkin or a subsidiary. And maybe dig for office photos. (Half joking there.)

Edit: Hyperkin would be a great company for byuu/Near to work at/with. See https://www.hyperkin.com/
I meant this one. I feel dumb for not putting two and two together earlier.

How did they find out his real name?
If I remember right Null got doxed within days of starting the OG cwcki forum because he used his personal email with his name in it and the first person he ever banned got mad and doxed him. He used to be such a naive and innocent young thing.

I would do it, if someone can supply me with his Email. I'd be behind 7vpns using a new gmail account or something.
We don't have that much info on Tresner either. One kiwi found an old FB through his nephew(?), but it might be dead. His twitter is definitely dead. Maybe LinkedIn is an option?

I don't have either FB or LinkedIn so I'm going off info provided by other kiwi's, but maybe someone can check if there is an email adress available?
Patrick Tresner doesn't appear to have posted on FB since 2018, but at least one of his nephews is still active: https://www.facebook.com/nik.tresner
Also, Patrick Tresner's LinkedIn. Works in IT, based out of Columbus OH...

Someone also found him on spokeo but no idea if this info is outdated or not. Seems like one email adress might be ptresner or pmtresner@yahoo.com.

Most of the meltdown is over, but I'm still laughing at some of these search results. I'm sorry Ms. Wagar, I've never heard the term "Troon" before.

I mat or may not have been a tard and reached out to him on Facebook and Twitter. To message on linkedin you have to be a premium account. I can sign up for a free trial. Im hesitant on the e-mail. Those white page/ background website are never accurate.

Am I retarded, or does the crematorium that urn was supposedly photographed in have wooden fucking walls
View attachment 2353531
I know when I was in Japan I was somewhat surprised by the amount of "unfinished" wood used in the construction of interiors. I say "unfinished" because it was very smooth so finishing work definitely went into it, but no lacquers or anything on the wood. I saw it mostly in buildings trying to have a more traditional looking construction for aesthetic purposes.

That said I don't remember being in a building where an entire wall was that material, I mostly remember it being used as flooring which had me fucking paranoid of putting anything hard on light colored floors, because literally anything with an edge would leave a mark in it.

What I'm getting at is there are some quirks in Japanese interior design that give a rational basis for this, but not much more than a rational basis.

Kind of related, but are we sure that the obviously not a light fixture rectangle object is an AC vent? My first impression was framed picture/artwork on the wall behind the "urn" due to the way the curved surface is reflecting the light and the angle the picture was taken from.

I put a rounded shiny thing I found lying around a bit below and in front of a picture I have on the wall and saw the reflection looking pretty similar to what I'm seeing here, so just throwing that out as a possibility.

I like how no one has pointed out that, according to the story and time line, byuu would have actually died on the 28th, per his location in Japan.
Null's location would have, correct me if I'm wrong, been set to EST. His last email from byuu was a little after noon on the 27, so June 27 is the day that shows up on everything. But assuming the screencaps and copy/paste from Null and byuus twitter represent that Null's time zone is est, byuu would have killed himself on the 28th local time. So why does the urn have the 27th as the death date, aka the date that is pretty much only linked to his "death" when you look at it from the perspective of someone on kiwifarms who is not in fact living in the same country/area as him?

Also, nothing about that picture of the "urn" actually looks like a memorial service or anything of the kind. You can see a powered sliding door to the left side of reflections and the light fixtures don't line up with what you'd find in a funeral home hosting a service, the table the thing is sitting on looks like a cheap display table, and the wood "walls" behind the "urn" are pretty clearly boxes for other "urns". And you'd have to find a pretty janky, shitty crematory/funeral home that would host a service within 10 feet of the sliding glass doors.

Also, if his family had actually received his remains by now and there had been a little service or what have you, or even if they had just received his remains, I am sure there would be some form of blip of it, even if just a note on some crematory's little "memorial" pages that they put up half the time whether you want them to or not.

My guess is that "Wayne Beckett" is just someone with time and some money on their hands to spend fucking with kiwifarms, hoping someone here would be naive enough to think that buying an urn and taking a picture of it is some sacred rite that is only possible when someone has died, and not something that they could have bought and easily (and very much did) just sit on the display shelf in the retail front of the crematory office and take a picture of it while there under the pretense of making sure it's acceptable to someone else etc.

Someone could take those youtube walking videos of Tokyo that are posted all the time (most likely candidate town would be Akihabara) and do a facial recognition search using his photo to see if he's walking around still alive.
