What’s the excuse for making these kids a free sideshow exhibit? Awareness?
It’s not treatable so awareness isn’t gonna find a cure. When it’s seen on a scan it’s gently suggested to terminate because it’s so dire. The people who need to be aware are made aware when it happens.

The general public knowing that babies can be more fucked up than they imagined? Great, what’s the point of that?

Damn, god (or your diety of choice) has been on a roll lately with the late-term aborting of almost-cyclops potatoes. I do wonder if they'll be ok psychologically, the parents and grandma had been full time potato farmers for years. Didnt they convert the garage into an ICU and everything?

Molly Mae's livestreamed funeral is at 6pm CST today. I'll try to glance at it at least, just to see if anything of note is happening. Probably won't watch the entire thing tho, especially if they have the sense not to have an open-casket deformed dead baby party.

Also, one of the side characters in the Sammie Bushart thread apparently had a miscarriage recently and has been posting dead fetus pics all over social media and hauling it around in a sandwich bag. Props to her for being thrifty and not wasting money on an embryo coffin and cumjar from that one site

Yes, they had just finished converting their garage into a potato care unit; after their failed attempt on the traveling trailer potato capsule. Unbelievable what lengths these parents will go knowingly their child will not live long.

Quick summary of the spud funeral so far, no open casket thank God, lotta Jesus, and none of the kids involved seem to be having any of it. Seriously some of the cousins in the clipshow didn't even pretend to sound interested.

EDIT Oh god the preacher is trying (and failing) to entertain the kids by telling them about how god knit them in the womb and shit. Poor kids are probably bored out of their minds. Sounds like toddlers are crying in the background.

Tbh I feel like that cow crossover was inevitable

Dead cyclops funeral stream ended and I'm a boomer technology-wise so I have no idea how to or if someone saved it. It was something alright, kids reacted about like I expected (i.e. they all seemed bored out of their minds and to not really get it), and the adults talked way more about jesus than they did about the spud herself, at her own funeral. Sad!

At least it wasnt open casket, though they showed some pretty Islamic pics in the slide show.

This is a relief. I can’t believe it took six years.

This is one that particularly troubled and horrified me. I remember being so sad for the parents when he was still alive after five years. I have no idea what their situation was but they really should have had another kid, or adopted one, to pour all their energies into. They also got sucked into by a huckster who cons money out of the desperate families of brain damaged children.

Watching two adult lives basically be sacrificed to care for a non-sentient lump of flesh for six years was just so absurd and tragic. They did convert their entire home into a care facility for Matthew.

They were like the human version of when a mother chimp carries around the dead body of her baby for days, unwilling to accept the loss. It had the same sort of sad, tragic and futile. (Unlike some potato babies which just seem to be props for the parents to garner attention and you only have sympathy for the poor potato baby. In Matthew’s case it was the parents I felt were the tragic figures.)

From the sounds of it the little kids weren't exactly thrilled to be at the funeral either. Towards the end there was a lot of crying and fussing in the background. That's the main thing I take issue with, these people insisting on dragging super young kids to the spud funeral who were just bored and tired by the whole thing.
