Petra confirms that singing is her primary focus as a member of OBSYDIA, to the shock of approximately 0 people.
She expresses that she absolutely adores Debidebi Debiru, but Sara Hoshikawa and Ryushen are her Oshi. She said that she felt that the choices of JP senpai working with them for their original songs was 'tailored to her' for that reason.
There are a sizeable portion of JP fans in the chat. Petra mentions that she's going to try and find a 'balance' between self-translating, as she feels it'll be exhausting for everyone involved if she spends her stream saying the same thing twice. JP fans are asking her to speak slowly and she says she'll try and find a balance for that, too. It seems many JP fans want to use her as a means of getting better at English, which is nice.
She states she wants to turn her JP-onky streams into a Batsu game if she speaks English, after taking inspiration from LazuLight's noodle challenge.
ID Penguin Amicia Michelle shows up in chat and is given mod status immediately after a little banter. Debiru then shows up and engages with her for a little bit promoting her to freak out. I would find this cringe if not for the fact that Petra is so comfy that I couldn't find the energy to care.
She insists to chat that she will not be a 'gap moe' like Finana and that she is genuinely not going to be secretly lewd. Clarifies that the reason she won't make dirty jokes is because she herself doesn't really understand them.
This is where things start to take a bit of a turn...
Throughout the stream, it has become a running gag that Petra keeps getting distracted from reading her SCs and hasn't done a single one, so when she's about to do them, chat hatched the plan of spamming 'Mamaaaaa!' at her like a bunch of bizrarre manbabies to 'distract' her. This happens a few times in what is about another hour or so of stream. She very clearly doesn't understand and feels like she's missing out on something but it's just autism.
Then the Chinese come and ask her if she can speak Chinese and if/when she will do a CN-only stream. Petra says that her Chinese isn't nearly good enough for something like that yet but she'll leave the door open for in the future. However, because they are retards that don't understand English, whenever she explains this, all they hear is 'Chinese' and flood the chat asking her if she can speak Chinese as if it wasn't mentioned multiple times already and was literally in her debut. This also happens a few times.
Chat then asks her to say all the unfunny catchphrases like 'Hi honey!', 'Sheesh!', 'Noot Noot!' (okay she actually did this one and it was cute) etc. At this point I'm practically begging for a world-ending apocalyptic event to somehow only disappear these particular people like the book 'GONE'.
She starts reading SCs. Absolutely all of them are calling her and/or her voice cute (which they absolutely are, more on that in a moment), which means she can only really thank them and move on. Far less room for her to spark up something to talk about like Selen who just talked shit for 2 hours and went to sleep.
Absolutely anything she says or does is met with both JP and EN communities calling her cute or, in the former's case, Nihongo Jouzu'img her into oblivion. They absolutely LOVE her. Petra can do no wrong. At this point she's gained about 5-6K subs since she started.
Rosemi shows up in chat as Petra is talking about her upcoming cooking stream, stating that she only started cooking 3 days ago. Petra's excitement becomes a look of concern. The stream ends with her saying she's failed to get much sleep and needs to catch up on it.
I think Petra fits snugly into the category of 'Maximum Comfy' streamers alongside the likes of Ina, Claire and Uto. Not the most charismatic personalities, but that in and of itself is a charm point when you're surrounded by fucking manics. The way she handled the absolute autistic carnage that was her chat for 2.5 hours was absolutely masterful: she didn't get upset, or visibly annoyed, or exasperated with repeating herself, she gave them the patience of a Saint, and it worked so, so well in favour of her image as EN's answer to Sister Claire and Ina.
This may not be the 'Gura Killer' that /vt/ touted Shachimu to be, but I think she's fucking fantastic for the people who like that brand of V-Tuber.
