Exactly. This is what I find odd. After going in hard on dsp for quite a while, he all the sudden stops fucking with him while continuing to hit some detractors.
As much as DSP is a liar, he hates Superhound more than he ever hated Tevin and there's not a damn way he's going to work with Superhound on anything. Considering that not only did Superhound lock down his channel several times on Twitch, he's DMCA'd his Twitter half a dozen times and the chargebacks that cost him not only donation monies but also the ease of potential for new whales, Superhound fucked with the only thing DSP cares about and that's money. Also Superhound is a weird shitheel and has a vendetta against DSP for scorning him. The more plausible thing is that Superhound took some shots at DSP then sold off the Twitter account to the next rube to use it online.
What if hypothetically DSP was contacted by SH and his only options were accepting SH and his retarded shenanigans (and possibly making more money) or rejecting him and continue to get attacked with chargebacks and false DMCA stuff? Of course Phil hates when his bottom line is affected for sure; the latter option would be the quickest way to end the chargeback (and dmca stuff) saga that was seriously fucking with him. We know he has no gonads, and especially if it netted him more money (if the fake tips/stolen cc stuff was true) I could see Phil telling himself there was nothing he could do so that justified accepting him.
Remember, the audits all the sudden stopped - even if he was getting less and less chargebacks, DSP is a creature of habit. I dont think he wouldve stopped the audits just because the number of chargebacks started to lower. He said a few nights ago that essentially there was still some chargebacks but they're not that big of a deal now... right DSP... he loved to use the audits/chargebacks as an excuse to beg more, no way he would stop that without a reason - namely, knowing they're done.
DSPs behavior has changed recently (really since the vest streak) - hes gotten more greedy and focused on money (shocking i know). In his mind, he cannot settle for making less than he did during the vest streak, and I think he's willing to do anything to keep it that way. Remember, at the root of all this is a serious gambling addiction.
Laslty, I know you mentioned the account may have took some shots at dsp, but from what I can remember, the verified accounts tweeted him only support and as the archived tweet in question shows, he was "taking out trolls impersonating" DSP, so he was in his mind supporting dsp/helping him.
just a few thoughts on this, im an idiot though so who knows.
Edit: i didnt mean to get into hypotheticals when I made my recent posts but all I really want to get across is that I think there is some fuck shit dsp is doing "behind da scenes" that started around the end of the chargeback saga
