The UK, France and Greece are pushing the same idea in the same time-frame -September (is this when the emergency use powers end?). I wonder what's so significant about that month and not right now?

I wonder what restrictions will be in place by Xmas, because if you're going to ban people from getting pissed up on black friday because they don't have two jabs, then i will laugh when the pubs and clubs shut down in droves.

The government said it would take 3 weeks of lockdown to flatten the curve, but yes, many NPCs were saying the coof was so bad that we needed to lock down for a year. Well it's been 14 months, 80% jabbed, masks all over the shop, shutting down business and national and local lockdowns and were still no better off.

As many people said, we should have locked up the elderly and vulnerable (i suggested sending them all to a butlins holiday camp with onsite medical facilities or a cruise ship, just to save them from being stuck in a room for a year), and let the rest of us get on with our lives - or deaths, without shutting down the whole fucking economy.

Thousands of long Covid sufferers are set to be offered monthly vaccine doses in an effort to beat the debilitating illness – after reports that patients can make a dramatic recovery after a jab.

More than one million Britons are said to be suffering from long Covid, with studies suggesting 400,000 have been hit by symptoms for more than a year.

This will be the first drug trial of a long Covid treatment.

Just when you thought shit couldn't get more insane. A fake illness to be treated with a fake vaccine. Seriously what fucking scientific justification is there for treating post viral malaise, if that's what muh long covid is, with a mother fucking vaccine of all things?

Dr David Strain of Exeter University, who will lead the trial, has surveyed more than 900 long Covid patients, of whom more than half saw their symptoms improve after the first dose.
Dr Strain said: 'Many patients saw a dramatic improvement within days of their jab.
'Their fatigue disappeared. They were able to walk further without feeling breathlessness.'

This quote is the reason I'm posting this here as it exemplifies everything wrong with current year 'science'.

Note there is no explanation of a control group. Did he inject half his trial subjects with a placebo? Did they also 'feel better' after the jab?

There is no objective/measurable criteria for improvement, only the test subjects feelings. Were base measurements taken prior to the trial? Did their VO2 capacity improve on spirometry? Did they do even basic diagnostic tests like Chest X-rays or aterial gas sampling, fuck did they even use a pule oximeter?

This is quack medicine. There is no basis for believing that an mRNA vaccine, which produces an S-protein antibody response, will do anything to treat a supposed illness caused by long term lung scarring, the idea is ridiculous. But wait and watch, for sure these fuckers will be jabbing the fat, dumb, lazy cunts on the back of this nonsense and making more billions from doing so.

I think it would have worked. In the UK, we shut down all holiday sites and caravan holidays (a big thing over here, not to be confused with trailer parks, stateside). All of those caravan owners had to pay rates and rent without an income. Why not shove a shit load of old biddies and fatties in there, let the government pay the owners for rent and keep all of the vulnerable in the safety of the countryside, isolated from the main cities, yet safe and happy.

Old ethel playing bingo at butlins in Skeggy, would have been preferable for her, her family and the community than her sitting locked up in an old persons home. It would have been cheaper as well! They could have used PPE, cleaned down the rooms and put on entertainment for those out of work. Instead of building make shift hospitals in the middle of cities, they could have been built on the camps themselves and kept everything firewalled. Food could have been delivered or prepared on site by any number of the thousands of cooks, chefs and catering companies out of work.

During the war we sent our children to the countryside and every man and woman with a sea-worthy vessel to help with the evacuation of dunkirk. This time we could have sent the biddies to the countryside and anyone with caravan could have loaned them out for government rent.

Shops stay open, people stay happy, the vulnerable stay safe.

The CDC has stopped widespread testing of the general vaccinated public. If the data on how effective the vaccine is to prevent getting COVID is not there, it prevents any pesky citizen from filing a FOIA request.

Found out a pizza place I used to go to has gone out of business, nothing remains. I recall having a conversation with the owner, an Italian guy in his 50s, who was sceptical of all the government bullshit, but also didn't want to get turbofucked into non-compliance, fined into oblivion, etc. He half-enforced the obvious rules, and was much more lax about the smaller shit (like having to mask up to leave your table, visit the bathroom, etc.)

On another note, I am starting to see some limited evidence that Delta may be the last wave of this Virus. Its de-attenuated to the point its CFR is only .0060 (2x the flu) and Delta is conveying immunity to all other variants in circulation including the Feared Lamba and Episilon that totally blow out the vaccine. There is really only a few mutations that could occur for this to change but they would need to happen between now and Octoberish. So If everyone becomes infected with the Delta version this fall, all other variants festering should burn out quick.

So this may be it after this fall.

Somebody advising Boris maybe seeing the same thing I am seeing with Delta and just said let it rip. The more people who get infected the sooner the faster that window will close.

The big death events, at least in western nations, happened during the first wave and almost exclusively in nursing homes. Go look up Midazolam use in British care homes during the first wave, you'll need a strong stomach. In the US around half of all Covid deaths occured in nursing homes, in places like Canada and Australia and parts of the UK is was close to 80%.

A nursing home reports Covid positive cases, usually starts with staff bringing it in or the nursing home accepting a Covid patient discharged from hospital. The dude from the local health department enters the facility and slaps them with a quarantine notice and orders all the staff to go home to isolate as close contacts. What's that you say? Who's going to look after all the old frail people if there are no staff? Well that's not my problem, I'm here to make sure Covid doesn't spread and put the old people at risk. So the nursing home is abandoned. In the worst cases the patients are left to rot. In places like Canada and Spain entire facilities were abandoned for weeks and hundreds of elderly people were allowed to die of neglect and starvation, I can assure you every single one of those deaths was marked down as from suspected Covid.

Usually though the facilities were not entirely abandoned, a skeleton crew of government health workers were brought in to provide basic care, which brings us back to the Midazolam. The health workers were instructed to enact an emergency triage and cohorting system inside the facilities to a) prevent transfer of sick residents into public hospitals and b) to account for lack of expertise and staffing resources. Patients inside the homes were color coded, those who tested positive for Covid and requiring oxygen were immediately deemed palliative and started on high dose morphine and benzo infusions as a 'comfort' measure. All of those people of course died, cause of death Covid 19.
