I wish I could find a picture of it but back in the 70s mad magazine ran a parody called "Silent majority " basically a conservitve right version of the mags put out by hippies and the free love moment.

One part that really stood out (and probably wouldn't be done by mad today r. I. P) was a fake add for "mail order friendly light skinned token negros"

Basically a mail order black best friend to show you're not a racist, but not too black. Just the perfect NAACP approved shade and so friendly and polite and non threatening you'd swear he's Caucasian.

Their words not mine.

Here you go...

It's a slave port built by the Arabs that fell into ruin after the decline of the slave trade. Many such cases.
Any possibility it was a revival of an older slave port from back in the 800s or nah?

I honestly would have no idea.

I just know that East Africa is dotted with these ruins of old Arab slave ports and that the slave trade beginnings coincided with the emergence of Islam in the 7th century.
Yeah, that whole situation is pretty intense in terms of how far back it goes. The ruins I posted are dated to the 1000s, but the Zanj rebellion in Iraq is even further back in the 860s and involved slaves taken from the same parts of Africa.

Last night I had the experience of listening to two ratchety black women speaking to each other when they thought they were alone, and they literally spoke in grunting mumbles as opposed to English. It sounded like monkey ooks from time to time.
You can't just say that and not elaborate. I've never heard of such a thing.
