At the rate things are going, we're going to get left wing death squads due to the fact that the Left KNOWS they are fucked come next fall and election time and that the best they can hope for is that they keep the House but lose the Senate, which ironically would give the Democrats both a rallying cry for 2024 (retake the Senate!) but also an excuse to get jack shit done especially since McConnell is pozzed and at most, will block judicial appointments and keep any Supreme Court vacancies open.
The left won't be able to pull the same tricks they pulled to steal the election from Trump in 2024 and any attempt to arrest Trump on trumped up charges in NY will be seen explicitly as the Democrats trying to rig the elections via wholesale locking up political opposition. Furthermore, God help them if they lose the House: the Republicans will start impeachment against Biden and keep doing so as payback for the multiple attempts to impeach Trump as payback. And if they lose the House, any attempt to pre-empt them by staging a removal of Biden will be seen as a tacit admission of guilt on his part, which means Biden and Harris will probably fall out big time especially if it turns out Harris only agreed to be VP explicitly, because the DNC promised her they'd remove Biden after the mid-terms to "reboot" their standing and ensure her a lengthy run as President.
At some point in the next couple of years, the left is going to face another extended trip into the political wilderness and rather than accept it, they will snap and go full Khmer Rogue and start killing people who aren't ultra woke lefties.

I disagree that the left "knows" they are fucked, or even that they are fucked in the first place.
Never count either side out of the game in American politics.
However, I agree that LWDS are much closer to reality than RWDS.
The worst right-wingers in the states will do is form cult-like compounds in the middle of bumfuck nowhere and brace themselves for Waco 2.0, maybe maybe maybe a lone wolf or two that doesn't glow from space trying to pipe bomb some feds or politicians; meanwhile left-wingers are already mobbing people in the street and burning shit down.

I'll give Sleepy Joe this: he got the US and NATO out of Afghanistan and let them get back to the normal order of business of killing each other, oppressing women, and fucking boys because its not gay if balls haven't dropped. Even better, he left them lots of guns and ammo so they can really kill the shit out of each other for the next decade or so.
Bonus points, all those hardcore womens equality advocates will have a place to go an really show how dedicated they are to global women's rights and not just feeling important and virtue signaling.
And yes, sure, ok, he's surrendered a resource-rich region with important regional trade connections to China. And basically created a superhighway for China to supply Iran with nukes.
But look, one of two things happen. Either the Chinks get bogged down in their own Afghan quagmire when the Uigyhurs use Afghanistan as a terrorism base. Or they manage to make Afghanistan part of greater China and genocide the whole populace. Either way, its a lot of dead arabs, so a net gain for humanity at large.

Trump scaled us back. Biden got us out. I do not have BDS,so I am willing to give credit where credit is due.
I also though he was going to sleepwalk us back into Syria to try to salvage Chocolate Jesus' legacy, and he hasn't (yet; wait for midterms and buy defense stocks). He also hasn't re-entered into President Purple Drank's abysmal Iran treaty, but I have a feeling its only a matter of time.

The Taliban did actually repress boy fucking. US troops were under orders to do nothing about it. Based enough. It doesn't really matter, but they did also stop the growing of opium. Afghans mostly want to be ruled by the Taliban and it can do the outside world some good. Cheapest and easiest, what works is right. Perhaps the National Security Advisor suggests as much. Donald Trump did in fairness start, but he should have ignored the delicacies of those who'd hate him regardless. Pres Trump would have withdrawn and signed a treaty with the Taliban government as a fuck you very much to Neo-Cons. He did a bit to get them coping, seething and dilating, but not enough.

Much like Obama pulling us out around the timeframe Bush planned. Wasn't made explicitly by him, but eh, he still followed through. Besides, Biden's been pretty underwhelming so gotta give him a bronze star in something.
It's why those "Obama's economy" memes were dumb. Even if true, being a president (any government official really) is about improving as much as it is not screwing up. The economy was great before Corona, so either because of his own policies or not fixing what isn't broken, Trump did great in that department.
I honestly might support Biden invading Cuba. There's no tribal warfare like the ME, no inbred terrorists so we wouldn't be there a thousand years (maybe). Those citizens would hopefully get some freedom, defense contractors a nice quick payday, and Biden a feel-good story for reelection (and dissent from tankies for overthrowing a peaceful, Commie paradise that would hopefully show some of the sensible Dems how retarded the likes of AOC are). Or people turn on Biden, you know, either or.

I cannot think of one policy he didn't backtrack, ruin or outright lie about for short term gain. Had Corona not happened, it'd be a higher chance that Trump would be reelected.
We'd probably be back to where we started. Actually, let me retract, not even underwhelming, just bad in every way imaginable. And I do not agree with the idea that Biden is "Obama 2.0." Obama is a great, charismatic speaker that was certainly an advantage for dealing with the political turmoil of the mid-2000s. You could blame a few of his failures on the status quo of the Democrats and Republicans at that era. The DNC pushed the race angle while taking full credit of Obama's successes while leaving him for the wolves of the warhawk Republicans. (You're welcome to disagree, but keep in mind of the impact and era of Obama's presidential tenure.)
Biden has NONE of that. His tenure outweighs that of Obama. He has reportedly been known to say and enact racist policies during his tenure. He cannot speak worth of anything, on account of his dementia. I'm frankly tired of that excuse of dementia; that does not negate his horrible policy making or incoherent speaking manner. His neoliberal character clash with his woke pandering.

No, the Taliban did not repress boyfucking, they just made it less public. Their problem wasn't with boyfucking, it was with the fact those other, bad Muslims were having their fuckboys dance.... TO MUSIC. Like a bunch of fucking infidels. Very haram and clearly against Allah's plan.
When the Taliban controlled Kabul, the joke was that the birds circled when they flew over Kabul because they had to use one wing to cover their asses.
You're about 95% right with the Opium. To tl;dr the Taliban didn't have an issue with opium (as long as it was exported) so much as they had an issue with the best poppy fields being in the oppositions hands and heroin funding the guys they were fighting; they couldn't control the territory but they could burn the fields or get people who maybe didn't completely support them/their mission to agree that Opium = Definitely Haram and burn the fields.
The Taliban figured out "how much opium can be grown without getting the west/china to come do something about it?" and charged those farmers protection money.
When the Taliban lost control, yes, the limiters came all the way off.
edit: I also recall the Taliban got international aid money for essentially restricting poppy growth, but I can't find any receipts on that so I might be remembering that wrong.

Biden finally went about getting us 100% out of Afghanistan for two super selfish reasons:
1. It gives Biden ONE ONE big thing for his sycophants that will be writing the history books to give him, by claiming HE ended the Afghanistan war once and for all.
2. It resets the ticking bomb theory for Islamic terrorists as far as allowing Afghanistan to become a breeding ground for terrorists plotting mass murder against America. Might take a couple of years and maybe happen on a Republican's watch, but if another major Islamic terror attack happens, then basically America is fucked as the party in power will become a huge fucking dictatorship in response and the Democrats are most likely wanting it to happen on THEIR watch, so they can use the ensuing shit storm to arrest everyone on the right they want irrevocably silenced and kill the internet as we know it.
