I am far from an animal advocate but this was harmless shit that only hurt the feelings of a corporation that animal advocates hate. The trailer looks pretty damn good. And Viacom clearly believes that this movie will bring butts into the theater seats, if they didn't they'd put it in theaters but also have it on Paramount+ on the same day.

It's sad that Bam can't be involved, but he made that choice.

I can’t tell what he was actually charged with but he got arrested in a hotel after bailing on the rehab Dr Phil sent him to after three days. He was allowed to leave jail to go back to rehab. The articles originally reported bail a $1k but then he was released into rehab. Since this was just August 2019, and he’s been bouncing in and out of rehab and programs since then, this could still be hanging over his head.

Given that his family was already trying to force him into rehab this arrest might have given them something to work with. They got him released to the rehab within hours - but with strings attached by design/request. Those strings might still be there (esp because Covid basically put the court system for shit like that one hold for a year). Families will try to work use stuff like this to give teeth to going to rehab and staying. I don’t think he stayed in the next rehab very long but he was back in West Chester within months and trying to cooperate with a program to be in the movie.

Its unlikely. Remember, Jeff Tremaine has a restraining order against bam. I know they can always do the shots 100 yards away from him, but still. After all the shit bam has done, along with the order I would not blame Jeff if he did not even send a offer to bam for jackass 4.5 when it happens.

My guess is Bam got himself a psychiatric hold from the state to be stuck in that facility. Could be that a judge deemed his current situation to be more drug-related than psychological and a deal was struck to have him do a serious stint in rehab.

It’s not as difficult to get committed as many people think.
