Boogie won't do anything that requires any kind of work - and that especially means mental health. He's the kind of guy who goes to a therapist and only talks about that day; any attempt to dig deeper or find out why he feels the way he does is stonewalled with excuses and vague answers. Real mental health is hard work when you have baggage. You have to confront who you are, stop your thoughts, and learn how to redirect yourself. You can't wallow in pity and just moan about you fucking everything up.

People who are good manipulators know that their schtick works on most regular people, but meeting with a licensed professional once every couple of weeks, who won't let him run away from his lies, hurtful words, and dangerous behavior (including threats of suicide) - Boogie could never handle that. A real therapist won't stop asking probing questions and won't stop pointing out inconsistencies. And if he mentioned ending his own life in front of a therapist, depending on the law, the therapist may be required to report it to appropriate authorities.

Getting measurably better in any aspect of his life just won't happen for him unless he suddenly changes and decides he wants to put in some kind of real effort.

Sorry for the powerlevel but as someone who actually had pretty bad social anxiety, just walking through that crowd or going to an event like that would have made me sperg out and talk and act like I had just finished sprinting up a hill.. Drawing attention to myself the way he does would have been inconceivable. Boogie is as full of shit as he is of fat. Because he's morbidly obese.
