Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

Why not just educating the people, lessening the window of opportunity for any adversary who's interested in sowing discord in the West? Schizos would be schizos anyway, so what is the logical reason for pointing out that it's Russia specifically?
Are you fucking serious? Are you saying it's not important to know who our enemies are?

Sure, important but it's not amorphous Russia, it's certain business figures like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevgeny_Prigozhin, for instance. This guy is significant because he's the money bag behind paid comment farms in Russia.

The way it was presented in American media is that Russia's spreading misinformation, that's it. No substance, no explanation, just big bad scary guy and that's why you should take the vaccine. I may not have the full understanding of how it was covered in American media, so I'll appreciate it if you will correct me with examples of widely cited media outlets that present these facts.

Would it be possible for you to provide me with examples of such messaging? There's no need to get adversarial about this, just because I haven't seen anything like that doesn't mean I specifically avoided seeing relevant information. Mind you, I'm talking about messaging from public authority figures and not reasoning behind vaccination in general.
In the US, at least, pretty much every healthcare system in the entire country (if not all healthcare systems) has been trying to educate their patients to get vaccinated to help slow the spread and protect themselves.

Do you think it is relevant with regards to the rest of the world? Granted, American politics are broadcasted and spoonfed to us, the rest of the world, almost 24/7 but do you think it's relevant for countries outside of the United States?
Probably. There's a lot of allies of Trump out there in other countries. Bolsonaro in Brazil is one

Do you have an example that you would consider a model education campaign? Was there any messaging that appealed to you specifically?

And so you think that the dynamics of governance and political theatre can be applied to the rest of the world because there are political figures who sympathize with Trump or have similar messaging?

Wow, Putin must be totally pissed he's doing this and certainly doesn't approve.

There's been tv advertisements encouraging people to get vaccines. For appealing to me personally, I asked doctors I work with and they all got the vaccine (and were excited to get it). I would imagine they know a hell of a lot more about this than me or anyone else on kf.

Probably. It's all an appeal to ignorance and uneducated people

Why do you think that's the case?
Like I said, they're all-in on the right-wing koolaid. They were told scientists don't know what they're talking about and that their fee-fees are more important than actual facts. At least in the US it was because of Trump throwing a temper tantrum about Fauci contradicting him downplaying it, so he told his cult to ignore scientists and doctors.

I'd imagine other countries are the same way. I know Bolsonaro in Brazil was very similar.

Maybe it's cause of the blatant hypocrisy demonstrated by healthcare leaders in the US during the BLM/ANTIFA riots last year. Lot of people were completely fine with the 14 day quarantines and reluctantly accepted the need to wear masks when covid was still relatively new. After lord fentanyl Floyd's death, the riots broke out destroying and looting businesses, many of which occurred with throngs of people in very close proximity not adhering to those initial distancing and masks rules. Despite this obvious infraction of the health safety measures set forth to combat a supposed super deadly virus, the same healthcare leaders doubled down and tried to justify the chimpouts through slogans like "racism is a public health crisis." There's hypocrisy in bounds during this whole fiasco and those who are conscious about it don't want to be accountable and/or don't have the cojones to admit it.

I'm sure there are many other reasons people are questioning the powers that be, but this is probably the most obvious one in the US.

For the record, I thought those riots were stupid, too.

However, there was a ton of retard anti-maskers and such even before that. There was anti-mask protests and lockdown protests before that. They started around the time Fauci started to contradict Dear Leader at times

Perhaps, but that doesn't mean all of those anti mask and lockdown protests were retarded. Lot of people who protested the closure of their businesses or whatever had genuine concerns. More than a year of this lunacy and I'd say those initial antimask/lockdown protesters have been vindicated many times over.

I think pretty much anyone here, even on this thread, can agree that was some of the most fucked-up, retarded shit imaginable, and completely undermined any trust in the messengers bringing it.

The fact is some people are ineducable morons. TV won't reach them, the Internet won't, even if you get so desperate you try to knock on their doors like Jehovah's Witnesses, they'll just reach for their shotguns. You just nuke the site from orbit. There's nothing you can really do to educate absolute abject drooling microcephalic tard babies.

The fact that the anti-mask/lockdown protestors didn't drop dead, and then the very same people who said they would drop dead turned around 180* and said the BLM protestors wouldn't drop dead for doing the same shit x50 showed that the former was right to protest in the first place.

Let's be fair, probably some of them did. It may have been masked in the drug ODs and other possible death causes of that general population, though. Face facts on that. Seriously, tell me you think the MSM would have released an article saying "many nigger rioters peaceful protesters died of COVID."

Some of them did. It was on the news when the tards saying covid was fake and not an issue and they wanted to get a haircut dropped dead.

There was just a guy the other day who was chimping out about how the vaccine was stupid and pointless who died from covid. They're your people, you should own it

You expect me to remember specific commercials? Some of us aren't autistic enough to memorize commercials.

Nah, it was retarded, too. Don't you right-wingers think human life is more valuable than possessions? I am pretty sure Jesus said that a bunch of times
