She-Ra and the Princess of Power - sjw bad animation reboot of shera

He-Man Revelations is out and based on the spoilers the He-Man thread shared, NuShe-Ra has only one thing over NuHe-Man.
NuShe-Ra for all it's faults and fags is still about fucking She-Ra. Even if she looks like a babyfaced drag queen.
Wrong, SPOP was all about Catra and the rest of the PoC extras, but mostly Catra, and Noelle was quite unsubtle about it. She-ra became completely irrelevant in the last season, Adora's character arc didn't matter because she had to become a depressed piece of shit for Catra to save. At least MotU didn't end with Skeletor realizing he was only evil because he's gay for He-man.

lol I don't know why yall are freaking out about this line, it's the classic "I hate you for dying and leaving me alone" - trope.

Y'all complain about "too many lesbians", now you're getting mad that a woman can't express her feelings for a man?
Say what you will about Kevin Smith, but Teela is NOT toxic to Adam here, that's one thing I was thankfully wrong about. On the contrary, it's made clear how much she likes him, not He-man, and she wanted to let him remain blissfully in Heaven thinking that he saved the universe and find another champion in his place. THAT's what her character development was about, accepting that people had good reasons for keeping her in the dark because at the end she was willing to lie to Adam just to keep him safe.
Now compare that to SPOP's Catra leaving Adora when she asked her to stay with her because Adora was going to die, but Catra chose to go full gayangst instead of putting Adora's feelings above her own. This is why Catra is such a trashy character because she never gets to learn to sacrifice anything for anyone. There's a difference between telling someone you're mad at them vs leaving them behind when they need you the most.

Hollyweird is drunk on woke coolaid and refuses to innovate so badly that they’d prefer to butcher existing franchises rather than build on existing franchises, make new franchises, and generally cater to what consumers actually want.

The irony is that this wasn’t completely horrible. Strong independent black woman who don’t need no man!Andra is not annoying like I feared she’d be. Change her name to something original like Alek-Sanjra and she’d be a great addition to the franchise. Idk, make the original Blond!Andra her girlfriend to replace SJW Stereotype!Teela?

Even Black!Greyskull can coexist with Blond!Greyskull by putting Roman numerals after their names. Greyskull II, Greyskull VIII, etc.

Double posting like a nufag, but...

No offense, but this is a clickbait. The original quote is from Variety that's been misquoted by cbr (why are these youtubers discovering it now, it's been up for like 3 days?)
He was referring to people assuming Adam died and won't be back, not to the fans who didn't like his choices for the show.

To my surprise, the gays I hang out with don't care for the show because nobody is likable. One did point out the new version seems to have gone out of its way to "sanitize" the original's queer themes, probably to make it more distinct from Nu-Ra.

Probably the most telling is them pointing out that it doesn't seem to be made for kids, but thirty-something losers still going on about the eighties.

Is it tho? If it was, then the creators severely misjudged their audience.

Even assuming they didn’t screw up the PR and instead called it “The Death of He-Man,” you still have the problem of Teela the main character being an unlikeable strong whaamen SJW meme hairdo stereotype.

Maybe Kevin Smith should've watched the original show. While people would've still shat on the show, I don't think the backlash would've been so bad if he didn't blatantly lie about it in the first place.
