She probably read that short haircuts can be slimming (hence the popularity of the Karen cut) and figured a buzzcut would be the ultimate fix. I found some fashion articles for women saying a shaved head can make your neck appear longer and make you look more muscular, and funny enough one saying it will 'make your upper body appear larger than it is'. Since she lives on TikTok my money is on her seeing some dumb clickbait to this effect and going for it based on that.
