Because it's super hilarious to watch Chantal dream about doing something and we all know it won't happen and then we get the treat of watching her emotionally destroyed. She spent today's live going on and on about not wanting to be around people and having anxiety but then talks about going to a huge concert and all the weed is medicinal for her anxiety. It doesn't look to me like Nader is currently working. In the beginning she would only see him on weekends because he supposedly had a construction job to go to, but now there are a lot of hookups in the middle of the week, so yeah, he may be even more dependent on her for cash. No work means more free time to do drugs, so if it's true, the cost of his habit will have increased exponentially.

Think if the financial situation got dire enough and the drug money dried up Nader would coerce her into doing real OnlyFans videos (as long as she promises not to show his face)? That way she can (1) Prove to all the naysayers that yes, she really IS having sex and (2) Make boatloads of dough, not only from "fans" but from hate watchers and rubberneckers. Of course if she did, the vids would be leaked everywhere. and when Nader dumps her again she will be triple-humiliated. That may even be the last straw for her family and they'd finally cut the cord.

Even after all of these years on YouTube Chins has learned nothing. She still acts impulsively and gives zero thought to consequences. She has mentioned previously that she doesn't want to end up homeless yet does nothing to lessen the possibility of that happening.

Functional drug addict construction/drywall/concrete workers often forget to show up to work when they have a drug supply and/or money. And then when they get fired, they find another construction/drywall/concrete job until they get drugs/money and forget again. Sometimes after time they can double back and get rehired for someone they previously worked for because they swear they have quit that stuff and are doing better. And then they work until they get high and forget to go to work again.

Tl;dr: he’s probably took a vacation for a week or two.

I think that would be his only option, really--finding a sucker who keeps hiring him out of pity. It wouldn't take long to develop a reputation and get blackballed from every other construction company in Ottawa. Asking off for weeks at a time during the summer can get you a layoff real quick unless you're particularly valuable to the company.
