I think bombarding Gone Rogue with autistic questions as if this were The View right from the git-go, and then saying "ahhh, she must be Shannon" ensured that we lost her as a resource. You may say that she did it to deflect from her identity, but the comment was unsolicited so it would serve no purpose. More likely it was the other friend whom Chins denounced during a live for being concerned about her. That account appeared here very shortly after. (And PLEASE, once again resist the urge to dox whomever it was. She may have been scared away for fear of that and doesn't deserve it. Sure. There's lots of reasons we can lose a source. Cold feet, threats from the cow, religious conversion, abduction by aliens. Adding "people immediately trying to dox them when they come to the Farms to share," is just unnecessary and kinda dumb.

Also, in this case in particular, speculating on who Gone Rogue is/was actually helps Chantal figure out her identity in order to make those (possible) threats. Chantal is stupid. Very very stupid. And while it's not impossible that she could employ her six remaining undrugged, un-fat-suffocated brain cells to work it out, we don't need to be giving her hints through our own speculation.

GoneRogue's been smart enough to keep her googleable online presence to a minimum; there's virtually nothing there. There are no public posts to her Facebook since 2012, and nothing that is visible is interesting. But she did make a critical opsec error in one of her early posts here, which led straight to her. The cached remains of her MySpace account list her as living in Cornwall, ON, way back in her gothy, stompy platform boots days, confirming a connection to Chantal.

Her name is very unusual, and there is one other, much younger woman in Canada—also in Ontario—with the same name who dominates the search results. This other woman doesn't deserve to have her name plastered on the Farms (and, frankly, neither does GoneRogue), so I'm just going to leave it at that.

If she's got tea to spill, she really should come back and do it, however; that's pretty fucking rude to come here, make a big deal of being Chantal's middle-school friend, get salty about getting verified, and then bail once she has.
