I literally cannot see the issue in the first 2 bannings. The first guy is absolutely right. The 2nd person might have intended the post in a snarky tone but it could also be read as genuine.

At this point the users should all just leave and let the mods mod each other.

The mods get weird hate-boners for certain posters. Remember Kitty/Mama Voodoo? Her fall was meteoric, she went from being a mod to copping a lifetime ban for posting a picture that could be considered vaguely sexual with zero actual objectionable material beyond a character concept and build for an urban fantasy game.

I suspect all of the mods have personal hit lists that may include currently popular posters. As soon as the rules shift in a way that serves their desire to get them they'll try to.

Yup. I couldn't articulate any kind of real metric, and I will admit up front it might just be in my head -- but my perception has been that the mods decide a poster is 'not a good fit' and will gun for them, looking for increasingly flimsy excuses (including locking threads) just to drive them off the site.

That doesn't even get into the mods who are clearly getting their jollies with throwing out redtext. Tanka is particularly contemptible on that score.

We may call each other faggot and shithead a lot here, but at least the feedback isn't forcibly filtered by a pack of autistic moderators who break down in tears trying to decide between bacon and sausage when they're at IHOP.

They were already doing it ten years ago. Some posters ended up fair game, getting harrassed and dogpiled by both mods and other users who'd bait them passive aggressively, and some posters would get away with a long string of infractions. Originally, this was confined to only a part of the modclique, but a few years later, all notions of fairness got abandoned. If they want you banned, they will make sure it happens. It is standard crooked cop behavior. Ironic, for a site proudly in the ACAB camp.

The faggotry never ends.

Why was he banned? Who the fuck knows? The link is to his profile (which is blocked, whether by Thorn himself or admin fuckery. Yes, even if you're logged in). His last post (at least, using Search to find posts by him) was on July 12th, so he may not even know. My guess is that he said something elsewhere (possibly Pundit's site, he's a member there) and the RPGnet mods clenched their buttholes and reached for the banhammer.

Prior to this he'd eaten a thirty day ban for 'straightwashing' back in 2019.

Q99, you're a faggot. You'll always be a faggot, regardless of your gender or sexuality. Because this is just rock stupid. Are we allowed to build and mold our game worlds, or not?

But yeah. Keep banning people, RPGnet. Keep pushing yourself inexorably into irrelevance.

Anyone ever wonder if these absurd bans are bait for this thread in a "joke's on you, we're only pretending to be retarded!" fashion? I would be 0 surprised if they're KILLING THEIR COMMUNITY TO OWN THE KIWIS.

Holy shit, I was joking when I made the Soviet show trial reference earlier. Banning someone who had been posting for decades because they're "not a good fit" is some "Trotsky has always been an enemy of the Soviet people" shit (see rpg.net mods, I can make references you can understand). Wonder if he knew Fabius and sent some angry PMs to the mods on his behalf? Rule zero is some weaksauce bs they only use when they want to ban someone but don't have anything specific they can pin on them.

It's kind of ironic that these faggot RPGNet mods are against exclusion and gatekeeping, and all for acceptance, diversity and inclusivity.
And that the way they model their community's desired behavior is by excluding and gatekeeping the fuck out of anyone at any time for even the slightest provocation, intentional or not.
Never forget kids- leftism dies without censorship (and hypocrisy too, apparently).

This is a funny thread, these faggots ban these guys for nothing...how does this forum have people willing to post?

Imagine just posting away on some run of the mill topic and then wham, red text bastards saying some pseudo reasoning why you're BANNED.

Poor people they need to get away.
It’s like North Korea. Anyone with the capacity to dissent has been weeded out of the gene pool.

Fuck it, this festering wound of a site has a better quality of gaming discourse than RPGnet or /tg/ anyway.
Says a lot that a site like KF, supposedly populated by drooling retards, psychopaths, neckbeards, basement dwellers, incels, alt-right weirdos and flat out National Socialists has a greater diversity of opinion. virtually zero moderation, and a greater level of politeness and mutual respect than RPGnet.
I guess the big difference is that we've been allowed to develop our own culture whereas RPGnet is having a culture forced upon it by mods.

The time is probably ripe for a free-speech alternative to RPGnet, where the only bannable offenses are anything illegal (like CP), and calls for censorship.

The closest you’ll find would probably be the rpg site forums.

Are there any sites like that? /tg/ is festering (albeit not as bad as RPGnet).
