General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

The Norf FC-tier banter feels like it's getting kinda rough, that sorta crap is part of what makes /vt/ so insufferable. Saying something's got absolutely autistic and elitist fans isn't really a press stopper, what doesn't? Both Niji and Holo have mental oshifags, and they both absolutely have their fuckups as well as skeletons in the closet. Hell, I don't know how Holo was in the beginning, but early on Niji was borderline a black company, and that's not even something that can really be argued against. Arguing about sides in this sort of market seems kinda pointless, everyone's good and everyone sucks in their own way. Except Artemis, Artemis is obviously the worst and you have a problem if you like them.

I've been lurking here for about half this thread's lifespan and this thread tends to increasingly attract more new members which isn't necessarily bad. However, to me, it seems that quite recently many are coming from the evil clutches of the hugbox that is the holo reddit. Now listen, I don't mean to rustle anyone's jimmies and I could be wrong, but coincidentaly it's starting to feel more like a hugbox for holos here as well. If this thread is fated to rot in tribal waifu wars, I just hope we can make it until holoEN gets their 3d.

On another note, I am sort of excited for a Lazulight and HoloMyth collab. Today, I tuned in for Pomu's last karaoke before her breast surgery break and Kiara showed up in chat. Man, I know some people have hate boners for Kiara, but I feel that her high energy would feel right at home and even might compliment that of Lazulight.

Ultimately, tribalshit favoring Hololive is unavoidable. Regardless of what Vshoujo or Nijisanji fans want to believe, Hololive is the center of vtubing in the west. And in an industry that encourages gachikoi culture, people defending their oshi and the company they belong to is not really that surprising. Also, to be fair, @Scuttle does have a tendency to bring down cover and Hololive too much while propping up Anycolor and Nijisanji, sometimes all in the same post. I still remember when I was reading the backlogs of this thread, him numberfagging Lulu's graduation and hoping that it got a higher viewership than Coco's. All because he got mad about a bunch of fans speculating just how big Coco's graduation would be (none of which I ever found mentioning Nijisanji in their post). That kinda did bring down my opinion of him somewhat since anyone that insecure to numberfag a graduation is not right in the head. He honestly reminds me of Clipper fans and you never wanna be compared to clipper fans.

His "point" was a sarcastic jab at how the VShojoxHolo collab was still bad despite management holding a tight rein on their talents contrasted to the Big Collab being a shitshow despite Niji's looser management style

Also, since when was this place a hugbox for Holo? We've been airing discontent for Cover's incompetence since the Taiwan arc

Yeah, it's no secret that he likes Niji, that itself is fine since if I want pure, unadulterated holosperging, there's Leddit. The problem that his posts are akin to praising the dick he's sucking while simultaneously sneer at Hololive for not having the same quality dick in his mouth. This faggy behavior is consistent and becoming more noticeable that people starting to call this out. Justified criticism flies under the radar if he keeps acting like a faggot.
