Aren't there a lot of RPGs that includes slavery by default? Or at the very least, have some form of whatever they hate.

Yeah, pretty much all evil races that are powerful and smart enough have slaves just in D&D alone. It's just so valuable tool to get and keep conflicts going. Need to save someone? Just say they got captured by slave raiders. Want to put a time limit to up that drama? Say these people get slaves to sacrifice to their evil god and that party is during the next full moon. Need to give the heroes an ally? A slave desperate to escape is always willing to help. Heroes lost a fight and you don't want end the campaign there? The enemy patched them up enough to sell.Aren't there a lot of RPGs that includes slavery by default? Or at the very least, have some form of whatever they hate.
So you’re no longer even allowed to talk about anime that might have rape or slavery?Happiness is mandatory, citizen. Don't think about unhappy things or you will be terminated.

Schrödinger's ban, they ban you or ban you not depending on if you are in the cool kids club or on their watch list for problematic ideas. What happens if you don’t know about it because you haven’t gotten that far yet? Or if it comes in later? Do they purge the whole thread?
And the general point is it's a shortcut to evil. It's so evil that just literally say "slavery" and you've said "evil." Who are the bad guys? Didn't we just say "slavery" and shit? Obviously the slavers are the bad guys. Only on Clown World where rpgnet mods live do you need to say more. Only on Clown World would they think you're on the side of the slavers. Holy fuck even racists think slavery was a bad idea.Yeah, pretty much all evil races that are powerful and smart enough have slaves just in D&D alone. It reminds me of those cheesy Christian films where they need an antagonist, but they can't show any violence or "bad stuff" so the bad guy ends up being someone who doesn't do drugs or cuss or do any violence to anybody. They're just like... kind of rude and usually atheist. And the general point is it's a shortcut to evil. It's so evil that just literally say "slavery" and you've said "evil." Who are the bad guys? And this is why no matter how holy you are, the racist, scumbag, "evil" character you make will always be the sexiest. Does anyone even read Paradiso (well yeah I did but I do not remember it)? No, they read the fucking Inferno. Does anyone read Paradise Regained (well yeah I did but same thing)? No, because John Milton's Satan is fucking awesome but his God blows goats and is not remotely interesting.RPGnet (and others) just proves that it was never religion, there's just a personality of Karens who will be convinced that you must never ever show anything bad or mean.
Which is why some of the few "good guys" who remained interesting and captivating were written by the greats like Lewis and Tolkien. To quote the former:And this is why no matter how holy you are, the racist, scumbag, "evil" character you make will always be the sexiest. And then these goody two-shoes faggots wonder why nobody is remotely interested in the crap they create.

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good.”
It's not about being good vs evil as far as this particular discussion is concerned. It's about being safe vs dangerous. (Karens always insisting on safety.) If you want your good guy to be "sexy" as you put it - make him dangerous.
Don't sell Paradiso short. When Dante is reunited with Beatrice for one perfect moment? That's the single best piece of prose to come out of the medieval period, bar none. And this is why no matter how holy you are, the racist, scumbag, "evil" character you make will always be the sexiest. All of the Christian prose of the era is inspiring in its own way. Grail Cycle literature like Parzival and Le Morte d'Arthur are part of what defines Central and Western European culture.Don't sell Paradiso short. Edit: Fite me.
A friend of mine will argue (when drunk) that the book of Job is the first and original Lovecraftian writing.I always liked this quote from another of the Inklings, Charles Williams:
The famous saying 'God is love', it is generally assumed, means that God is like our immediate emotional indulgence, not that the meaning of love ought to have something of the 'otherness' and terror of God.

Believe it or not I'm with them on this. Do not ask a random forum on the internet for medical advice. The only useful answer is "speak to a professional."Before redaction the poster listed some ADHD symptoms and wanted to know if, in the opinion of the board, they had it.View attachment 2386085

Nothing to see here, citizens. Go about your business.
But they could have handled it way better rather than their usual way. With the boot.Believe it or not I'm with them on this. Do not ask a random forum on the internet for medical advice. The only useful answer is "speak to a professional."
Even if some actually useful advice is given it will be mired in so much dross it's like washing actual medicine down with a cocktail of piss from a dozen strangers and half a gallon of bleach.
I’d argue there’s a difference between being punished for doing evil and being punished for disobediance, but that is a pretty interesting point.Genesis. We were created without the ability to comprehend evil, and then punished for doing evil.

You probably would after you'd already eaten the fruit and it was too late for the knowledge to do you any good.Arguably you wouldn't even understand the concept of being punished.
