The in-universe explanation to the title makes fuck all sense.

"They're not Gen-X and don't want to be Gen-Y."

What does that even mean?
It means because they were all born within a certain number of years they are part of Gen "Y" officially. But being the special snowflakes that they are they could not stand to have someone else attach a label to them. They are Gen Y but they call themselves Gen Z, much like how Shona is a man but calls himself a woman.

I think Hayden also mentioned that he chose "Zed", not because of his British-ness, but because they wanted to be even special-snowflakes against Gen Z.

Only room in my heart for one Zedd, baby.

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, honestly. It's just...... Just look at her damn you!

She has no style, she has no grace. This tranny has a funny face?

With that out of the way, I'm not shitting on people who are comfortable with their body, but if people who have the money to get surgery at least on their face, I'm sure she doesn't have much of a right to complain about not passing. I mean, it's kinda like putting on a firefighter costume and complaining people don't recognize you as fucking Batman, even when you can easy buy a Batman costume.

That was a weird analogy.

Lordy, no wonder you can't fucking handle anything properly.

kiwi noob coming through, don't mind me.
I've been stalking this forum along with Assigned Male and Manic Pixie Girls for a while now and just now decided to make an account.

Anywhosies, I actually put myself through the mental torture that is re-watching the Gen Zed promo trailer, being an aspiring animator. And I just wanted to point out that they put a lot more effort into the token cis white male than their obvious main selling point. If you take a closer look at it [not like anyone would want to, and I don't really blame them], Huey's actions are a lot more fluid and dynamic, and show much more emotion than anyone else in the show, ESPECIALLY compared to Shona. Everyone and their mothers can tell how choppy and unkempt her animation looks, but in both scenes from the promo, Huey's is actually very fluid and clean. You would think their precious transgender character would have the best animation, since she IS their selling point, no?

Being a psycho and violent cis white male, he's probably going to be in most of the physical humor. So his animation is likely more dynamic because of that.
