I know we're nowhere near the end of this insanity, but based on my observations, the general population is and has been over it for months now. With the waffling, rule-changing, and moving goalposts especially, more people are becoming embittered and skeptical. Most people desperately want their lives back, and aren't actively living in fear.
Now of course, the Branch Covidians and general Follow the Science Normies will always exist in droves and be VERY loud, but it's not the majority.
I agree about just making a card in Minecraft. Even when people "check" your card, it's barely a passing glance anyway. It's not like there's a government code you have to scan or anything to verify.

If I was an Alien checking Human communications in the last year or two, I would conclude that the only illness is the memeflu. Gladly it gets ignored that people could be dropping dead because they are denied care due to the hospitals being full with dancing nurses.
There is a concept called the Preference Cascade. Most might simply hate this thing, but they are just waiting for the social signal to openly say and act on it. You can see it in the System communication that they want to sell a group concensus. "See, everybody is doing this" This is why the masks are important from a narrative standpoint.

The stories that gutted me the most and got buried by the general media were the ones of kids committing suicide due to extreme isolation and general COVID nonsense.
I can't even imagine living with some of these people as my parents. An hero'ing seems a noble option with several of them.

Every time my parents watch ABC World News Tonight, we always get bombarded with more and more stories about how much the death toll and/or the amount of cases of the new variant is rising, making them worry even more. It honestly seems like, at this point, we're never gonna get past this with how much it keeps on mutating.

It's scary that we've now conditioned people (well half) to believe that yes the science literally changes day-to-day. Just do whatever we tell you right now, even if it contradicts what we just said yesterday. We're the experts; not you. You're not anti-science, are you? You're not a conspiracy theorist, are you? You're not a racist sexist bigoted Republican, are you?
Except that's not true. Yes, cases are going up, but deaths are not. In fact, even by the CDC's own data, they are going down.
The virus evolving is a GOOD thing. It's becoming less deadly. Yes, it's becoming more contagious, but that's the natural arc of these type of viruses. The worst part is that catching it should also give you protective antibodies (thus herd immunity), but the CDC/FDA flat out refuses to acknowledge this because they want/demand people to get the shot. There can be no legitimate reasons to NOT get the shot outside the rarest of exceptions.

The saddest part is the old ones get depressed due to lack of social interaction and die sooner and more miserable too. So... lose-lose.
Not to mention... imagine not being able to comfort your relatives during a funeral etc. This stuff is just anti-human.
The only ones feeling better about this are the anti-social bug people who are glad they don't need to interact with anybody ever again.

Yet. They want to make it a QR code to scan, which I'd assume someone will find a way to crack and make this even easier. They also supposedly want an app you'll have on your phone to present, which of course won't work for all the boomers with flip-phones or no phones at all, so you'd just say "I'm sorry, I remembered right as I got here that I forgot my phone at home, may I give you the physical vaccine passport that I have in my car?" in which case the wagie at the door won't give a fuck and just check if you have it.
My question is how these laws are written. How many proposed vaccine passport laws are supposed to only be in effect as long as WeRe In A pAnDeMiC!1!!!1 Although we all know that the pandemic won't end until the global elite decide we can stop living in fear of a virus with a <0.1% death rate.

It's hilarious watching the same people that claim IDs are racist scream about how vaccine passports are necessary. How is a vaccine passport not an ID? What's stopping me from just using my brother or sister or hell father's card? Wouldn't there need to be some way to verify that I'm showing you MY passport?

a personal note, my teenager has done an entire 180 and has had multiple mental health crisis’s over the last 6 months or so. Cant get appropriate help and they have on more than one occasion mentioned not wanting to live anymore. Nothing makes a parent more homicidal than seeing their child suffering at the hands of government and boomers who don’t give a single fuck about kids.

God damn this one makes my blood boil, because they did this to all of the stores in my town. They closed off all of the doors except 1 at a time, and everyone's forced to use it for entry and exit. There's a fucking CVS near my house that had 2 sets of automatic doors -- an entrance and an exit. Get this: they closed the 2nd door, and force everyone to use the 1st door -- but they disabled the automatic functionality of the door, and instead we're manually forced to open the door with our hands!!! There's a sign on the door which says something like "Due to Covid restrictions, the automatic door has been disabled, please open with your hands" whilst the 2nd door remains locked shut.
This is retarded beyond all logical comprehension.
