You don’t have to be well off to be a Vtuber. But if you want to make Vtuber your money making income then that’s a different story. We need to separate out between those who do it for fun (example early Senzawa) and those who do it for the living (the entire corpo Vtubers and some well off indies with sizable audience). They are definitely not that well off before taking off with Vtuber business for sure. it’s definitely not easy money like those from Doumo cabal cliques or even troon shark. Having a good model can get view initially but if you are boring then you are just wasting money to hire artists to draw and rig your model.
