Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Heh more like it's the Fed admitting through the usual weasel words that nothing will change. The biggie is that they intend to base any change now on the unemployment rate. Inflation? Apparently not even under consideration by Powell as a factor anymore. Pretty much just more can kicking since they know raising interest rates will effectively crash the party and are hoping badly economic growth can be their saviour.

Like that fucking matters. In 2024 they'll shut down counting in key swing states at 2:00 am, find 100 million votes and anyone who objects will be called a Nazi and banned from society.

Not Unions. They are -too- centrally vital to a dozen different major operations. An example of a second, bypassing campaign finance laws. Using Union Dues and direct donations, Unions are largely exempt from finance overview while being able to get -direct- marching orders under the guise of 'visiting the union reps'. Its why so many dem ads are paid for... by unions.

The required facts to make that possible in 2020 are... shall we say, unlikely to occur again.
1: Massive time to gain by the mail-in vote, and extended deadlines. All stripped out by now.
2: An active willingness for Republicans to look away out of hatred for Trump and a naive belief in the Dems.
3: The absolute unprecedented nature of it ensuring nobody knew -what- to do.

There is a reason Democrats pushed for that federalized election bill. If they could just repeat 2020 again, why burn political capital on such a risky bill that will face such steep resistance? 2020 was a unique conflux of events they won't be able to repeat twice. Hence their efforts to 're-fortify' the election federally. A big part of what they need to maintain is the union support that would allow it to function.

Because they have to, because despite the claims they could just hide him they actually can't. They need to maintain the illusion of his competency lest the whole admin be stripped of all power both de facto and de jure.

The issue that plagued politics during 2016 to now was Donald Trump. By which, I mean everybody's focus was on Donald Trump HIMSELF. Not each party's motivation or current direction. The RNC was resting on their laurels with Trump reigniting them as a relevant party. The DNC, meanwhile, planned to sabotage Trump in every turn regardless of the outcome.

Under both parties, there was rot that was growing larger that Trump at best revealed to the world himself. Now with Biden, that rot has manifested into a fungus.

I'm pretty sure I've said it before on here and still think so - that the next time it won't be just random soyboys and dangerhairs "fortifying" elections in the 5 or 6 stolen states. Next time they will be using the military in at least one polling station for each one of those states to guard against "insurrectionist" Republican poll-watchers. The troops will stay as long as they need to after election day until enough fake ballots are manufactured.
