Fargo - This is a True Story.

While I enjoyed most of it it did have it's issues. The better characters that seemed to carry the show died fast and early it seemed like, or they were just underutilized. Ethelreta (sp) was an extremely bland character and didn't add too much, seemed too perfect and it was very obvious nothing was going to be of consequence to her the entire season. I can see this being the weakest for a lot of people.

Well goddamn, Sir.

Sounds like it would be right up Samuel Beckett's alley.

Never would have considered watching, but will now.

Thanks, nigger.

Anyone know where I can find season four.
Netflix and Amazonndont have it and I really dont want to pay another streaming service.

The biggest issue I had with Fargo season 4 is the fact not a single person in 1950s America says nigger. In season one, Lester is referred to as Lester Nigger multiple times. Are we really to believe no one at all says the dreaded n word? This is a perfect opportunity to demonize the hateful bigoted white man as a racist fiend and yet it's so forbidden that it is only implied a single time. To even utter this verboten term would make unborn black children cry in the womb and drown in injustice.

Four felt the weakest to me because there was no humanity in the characters. People just killing, stealing, scheming, whatever. No one to root for or care about. And the Esmeralda or whatever fucking nonsense name she had is as relatable as cantaloupe. A character that speaks nine different languages and can do sign language with her toes while being barely a teenager. It's insanity. I used to think Fargo was in league with Better Call Saul. Not anymore, it has been wokeified and devoured whole. I hope the black cock was worth it, Noah. I pray that BCS doesn't have the faggots and their problematic fetish anywhere near it for the end. What a fucking tragedy television has become.

Great show. And I mean GREAT. The little attention it gets it's just unfair.

Haven't seen season 4 yet.

Oh, and I still don't understand the UFO bits from season 2 :cringe:

The deal with the UFOs was that it was supposed to a message where an insane person can be rational, with Kirsten Dunst's character being as blasè with aliens appearing as if she was reading off a grocery list because to her believing in magic crystals and whatever New Age bullshit was normal too.

As for season four, without getting into spoilers it was disappointing. With at least the third season while I didn't like it as a whole, I could at least point to great single scenes or David Thewlis' acting to recommend it to somebody. But season four had no great acting, no intriguing characters, and no WTF scenes. It just 'was.'

That's true, it felt very underwhelming. I can't put my finger on it, but it was very hard to relate to any of the characters.

I was really digging Doctor Senator, he was a suave motherfucker,
but then they kill him in episode 4
.

Wonder what the "schtick" will be for whatever the next season would be. Curious what kind of Coen bros archetypical stories haven't been done yet. The general format of a Fargo story is just "dude gets in way over his head and a lot of people end up getting hurt because of it" so it doesn't even have to be a crime story involving gangsters as it has so far these four seasons.

Watching second season, Jesus Christ Peggy makes Peggy Bandy look competent. The amount of plot armour she has is insane.
One of the things I really hate in Cohen brothers films is the killers killing cops and feds and not immediately getting every policeman in the area on a massive manhunt. It's basically GTA logic.

Just started a few days ago, watched 2 episodes of the first season. I believe a binge session this weekend is justified.

I watched about 45 minutes of season 4, because, while I knew it was all about niggers, I figured it would at least like show them interacting with the Jewish mafia, the Scandy mafia and/or the white police/normies, kind of as in the prologue. But nope, after almost the entire first episode, I determined it's just all niggers, except for the one white mudshark dad of the smarter-than-everyone-ever sassy nigger teenage girl (everyone's favorite trope!).

I only made it through about 15 minutes of season 5. Partly was the lead chick. I mean when fucking Kirsten Dunst out-classes your acting by orders of magnitude, you know you're in trouble. Then the rich, gun-loving, right-wing family, because that's how those people are! OMG it's so funny!

Honestly, either Noah Hawley had an aneurysm, or he just stuck his name on this, because it's so far removed from the first 3 seasons it's uncanny.

I'm not a huge Jon Hamm fan, but it'd have been fun to at least get to his parts, but I'm not fucking sitting through any more of that modern writer's room drivel to get to him.

Essentially you'd have to be clinically retarded or a consoomer of the highest order to get any enjoyment out of Season 5.
