To be fair in the 2nd picture he looks like Lena Dunham

here is some fanart posted on the contrapoints subreddit by a fan who was presumably trying to make nick look good lol View attachment 2382745
predictably there was some sperging in the comments, by people who thought an artist was drawing his true appearance on purpose to make him feel bad.
it’s hysterical to me that this is indistinguishable from the unhinged caricatures from /tttt/ posted itt a few pages back
This looks like a combination between Lady Maga and Buffalo Bill

Did y'all see what Contra tweeted? She said she's almost done and cut a "ten minute sexuality tangent" for her patreon.

I'm guessing the video will be out this weekend at the earliest. Someone on the subreddit posted that a music artist who CP commissions for background music released new songs that will probably be featured in the new video. More electronic/SOPHIE-style bastardization of classical pieces, so it's nothing new.

This is probably a powerlevel/no1curr, but it's funny that CP keeps up this erudite, intellectual upper-class persona with refined taste in media and music, and yet has the most basic taste in classical music. (Think babby's first classical or those Spotify-generated classical music playlists that people put on in the background of a dinner party to seem cultured and intelligent.)

Something I've noticed about the SWPL (American upper middle) class that Nick comes from, which puts it at odds with other affluent classes, is this:

If we make a distinction between "negative class" (things you're not supposed to do) and "positive class" (things you should do). SWPL's are extremely good at negative class and bad at positive class. If you look at the places they live, for instance, they are extremely clean and devoid of clutter (sometimes to the point of looking like movie sets), but they are also extremely barren and empty-looking. To someone with real taste, this is called "ugly," but to a SWPL, this just looks like home.

SWPL's, despite whatever expectations regarding education level, overwhelmingly do not have sophisticated tastes. (In my personal experience, Russians with a high school education tend to be more "sophisticated" than American PHD's in this respect. You're more likely to see a Russian factory worker reading classic literature than an American PHD, unless they're trying to impress someone.) They read popular fiction, they watch Hollywood films, they listen to pop music. In fact, I remember Nykytyne2 making a video a long time ago about the value of classical music, and how he was dismayed that, despite going to an elite university with some of the best students in the country, he found that most of the other students just listened to pop music, like rubes. He said that it wasn't a bad thing to listen to pop music, as long as you didn't exclusively listen to pop music.

I thought it was funny that he would have elevated tastes in music, despite being a basic bitch SWPL in regards to every other aspect of his life (although it's turned out he has weird fetishes as well). Back then, I wondered if he had potential to grow. Based on the Contrapoints videos I've seen, he's actually shrank (they are much less intellectually substantial than his old Nykytyne2 vids). I guess his love of classical music is just a personality quirk, although I had never considered that he hasn't actually developed his music tastes much.

A lot of westerners in general just recognize classical music from ads and movies. Vivaldi's seasons is a favorite for marketing lackwits who want to appear cultured.
But it isn't just westerners, you get one anime that uses Dvorak's New World Symphony for its OST, and suddenly you've got a dozen shows aping it.

How many did he have previously? In any case, he still has a metric fuckton

I found this which shows the metrics you are looking for. There has been a slow decrease in the past 6 months but also a slight uptick after each one.

It boggles the mind that he has gone six months without doing much and people still want to support him.
