It's definitely the end of an era. Arthur I think was the last bastion from the '90s on PBS now that I think about it, but it definitely fell into the same pitfall all long-runners fall into. It's a shame since it was pretty good at explaining social issues to children without completely dumbing it down for them. But yeah, the show was never the same when either/all of the above:
- Mr. Morris left (coincidentally was the 9/11-inspired episode, everything changed after 9/11 after all)
- Mr. Rogers passed away
- The show started doing CGI DTV specials
- The show moved to Flash
- After Postcards from Buster was canceled
- Yo-Yo Ma made an appearance
- Art Garfunkel (the Singing Moose) happened
