Then, of course, he has some clarity (because he had these moments a lot in the early Kevin and Lori days) and ends up sending the pics and a quick rundown to another friend because he realized how fucked the situation was and was probably seeking validation or support or whatever.

Regardless of what happened, it’s obvious him and Lori are trying to rewrite history and neither of them can get their fucking story straight lmao. I don’t understand why they’re going so hard on the cutting incident, though. So bizarre.

Kevin is so unhealthily obsessed with Lori and this whole relationship is such a disaster that I can’t look away from. I want a reality TV show about these two.

It’s so weird how obsessed Kevin is with Lori when it’s quite obvious she doesn’t seem to give a single shit about him. She constantly blocks and unblocks him, usually timing it around the time he promotes her on reddit. We never see pictures of them together looking like a happy couple, and the few times we do she looks like she was photoshopped in, clearly not looking happy because she isn’t the main focus of the picture. There is speculation they don’t even sleep in the same room, or at least house their belongings in the same room. Kevin goes up to bat for Lori frequently, but if I didn’t know these two I would have absolutely no idea that Lori was in a relationship, let alone engaged to be married. No one says you have to be super public with your relationship but Lori has about zero mentions of Kevin or anything nice to say about him at all.

If I were Kevin I would’ve already parsed that Lori wants nothing to do with me by just the blocking alone. Dude is fucking blind.

I was just thinking about this. I believe the last time Lori made a post about Kevin was sometime in 2019 and it was about how he puts up with her tummy aches and gets her juice. I honestly can't remember any other recent post she's made about him lol.

Agreed. Kevin detailed in one of his schizo rants that he had always had self harm tendencies and no farmers could hurt him because of it. Both of them are physically violent, emotionally unstable clout chasers. Lori picked Kev because of his young naivety and propmaking skill at the time; Kev picked Lori because he previously had no other chance at pussy and had a thing for cosplay girls and ana-chans. They bring out the worst in each other.

Tbh, @scoops is most likely correct in their assumptions on Kevin cutting himself to prove a point, albeit as retarded as that jump in logic is for anyone else with even an ounce of critical thinking skills and/or self-awareness. I always got a very specific impression from Kevin just by his posts alone, but scoops's post just kind of solidified for me.

Back in the day, there were always those teens/young adults in the "emo/straight-edge" scene that had to be edgier than all the others, to the point where situations like this where people do stupid and harmful shit to prove something weren't too uncommon (your area may vary). It's almost like the person who immediately decides that carving a name into a limb somehow doesn't see it as "self-harm", but rather some very corny-yet-disturbed way of making a blood oath in the name of romance (yes that is somehow deemed romantic, no I don't get it either). Whether they truly believe that due to their own weird conception of "true romance" or if it's just a way to deflect the guilt that always comes after self-harming, it's hard to say, and just depends on the case I guess. It's definitely a manipulative tactic at the very core of it, but with people like this, that factor is either just an afterthought or purely accidental. Unsurprisingly, when it comes to someone so immature and impulsive, even they don't tend to understand their own intentions behind the "why". It's always just, "Because I had to," and that's all it takes when you let emotion do all the steering for your actions.

And that's the thing here: This is the kind of shit you only see from perpetually sad teens, maybe from young adults if they're used to being coddled or something. But most who were that irrational and insufferable in their youth end up growing out of it at some point, usually because they end up having to confront their past issues and discretions for one reason or another - such as having a kid on the way, or one family member they were particularly close to passing away. You know, things that often come out of nowhere with a hard hit from reality, and can't be undone no matter how many times you make an over-emotional barter or threat. All gains or losses that would typically force someone to realize that they're not kids anymore and that they need to grow up. A wake up call that Kevin has never had to come to face. Eternally 16 years old indeed.

Kevin is kind of a unique example to this in the sense that he is the absolute worst case scenario. Not only has he just stagnated and never truly matured, but Lori - his dream girl - is the embodiment of a partner that will 100% take advantage of every emotional outburst he has. If he had been dating a girl with any sense of empathy and situational awareness and decided blood letting is the best way to show his fidelity, she would be horrified, upset, and likely walk out on him for seeing the act for what it was: an immature boy who is far too obsessive, unstable, and self-destructive to be in any relationship, and in need of serious help. But Lori? She already fancied herself as a celestial princess, so imagine the boost that whole episode gave her. Kevin is so consumed by her presence in his life, and I'm sure the Tibia Slice-And-Dice was just one of many instances that flattered her enough to keep her around. But alas, there's only so much crazy fanboy that even Lori can take, so it's not shocking if she really has been looking for an out. I wonder how different it would be if Lori had been less of a self-serving enabler and more of a well-rounded girlfriend instead, and given Kevin an ultimatum from the get-go to either get over the tantrums and grow up, or she drops his ass with no possibility of a second chance.

TL;DR - Kevin is permanently stuck with the mindset of an overly edgy, dramatic, and mental 16-year-old emo kid due to never having a moment in life that demands he either grows up or get left behind. Thus, he only operates in exaggerated expressions of obsession and/or angst, nothing else. The extreme lengths he would go to in order to prove his love for Lori likely gave her the ultimate power trip at first (i.e. cut his leg), but even Lori has her limits. She likely fueled that fire for her own ego, greatly underestimated the brand of insanity that proves love and devotion by bloodletting, yet will still probably learn nothing as that would require admitting a mistake.

At this point, I'm just kind of concerned for how Kevin will react if/when Lori does up and leave him. Out of all the cows, Kevin is one of the few that I can't confidently say without a doubt is just all bark and no bite whatsoever. At the very least, he's proven a danger to himself, safety scissors or not. Kid could really do some damage if he actually tried. Or just got upset enough.

Same. Kevin seems completely unhinged now and it’s honestly scary thinking about how he would react to his perfect loli purinsesu leaving him. Lori is…all Kevin has now. She pushed all his friends and family? away. He dropped out of college. Doesn’t appear to be employed? His cosplay hobby seems to be on the back burner.
His life revolves around her in an extremely unhealthy way and I can’t imagine it’s going to be pretty when she finally finds an “out”.

It is kind of funny to think about the scenario where Lori is actually stuck with Kevin and they both continue to fuck each other’s lives up forever, though. lol

Re: the various leg cutting theories, I just wanted to chime in and say that his excuse that he cut himself cutting foam on his lap isn't all that unlikely. It's a poorfag cosplayer thing to cut stuff out on your lap, or on the floor/carpet, when you don't have room for a proper workspace or desk.

His most recent explanation for the leg cut was that him and Lori were fighting or something and he accidentally cut himself because he was distracted. That's pretty probable imo. If that's true, that means he was so embarrassed about doing something so obviously stupid that he made up the self harm story to attempt to cover up how much of a monumental dumbass he is. But because he's such an emotionally stunted edgy teen inside he still tried to get sympathy out of this event by throwing Lori under the bus and turning it into a genuine self harm story. I'd believe both theories but I just wanted to put this alternate one out there

The way he recklessly defends Lori, there’s no way he would’ve continually let her take the fall for being the reason his leg was sliced for literal years if it was a truthfully a cosplay accident.
