Overturning Roe has been a White Whale for the Republican base for decades. Getting rid of it would be giving them a massive win.

Go and dive into some polling and see where Biden stands with Independents on certain policies. The only policy Biden has +50% approval among Independents is COVID response. Everything else, Biden is underwater, and by underwater, we are talking 60+% points. This is the economy, crime, and immigration, big topics Republicans are going to be running on come 2022. This is also coming from an ABC poll, so they are going to give him the best possible outlook as they can.

The ideal point to do something politically risky is, ironically, the same point that most admins are in the minority in the legislature. That is after the midterms, before the next general election. That is because the sheer turnout of a general will largely reduce the surge of the risky policy down to acceptable levels. Where as doing it before a midterm will drive a considerable increase in opposition voting.

The issue with overturning RvW, is that while it will trigger the libs and their enablers in the media mightily, is that there is the issue of what happens AFTER the triggering.
Making abortion legal/illegal on a state by state will effectively be the excuse that elements DNC need to finally revitalize and actually give a shit about state level of the DNC. SOMEONE will push an abortion version of Howard Dean's 50 State Initiative he ran in 2006 to get the Democrats control over Congress then. Which means massive money and resources being spent in every state to elect and keep elected Democrats, until Congress legalizes abortion via actual legislation.
Furthermore the media and Hollywood is going to have a FIELD DAY slamming and sliming ANYONE who supports RvW being overturned. States that DO make abortion being illegal will be subject to boycotts on par with what happened to Georgia and the All Star Game, on steroids. Tons of scam groups will be created to "bus" women to states getting abortions. Expect a rise in false rape/child sexual abuse accusations for states that provide a loophole for allowing abortion only in the case of rape and incest, as women cry rape to get an abortion damn the consequences for their victim that they falsely accuse.
Finally, if you overturn RvW, you basically flip the enthuesiasm switch. The right will have their grand victory, but will get sleepy and complacent while the left will go full Eva-1 mamma bear eating the flesh of an angel who dared hurt shinji mama bear mode and won't stop until abortion is legal and in a way that can never be overturned again.
RINO elements on the right might THINK it might give the evangelicals a massive win to revitalize them and get them to support the RINOs and marginalize the Trump base in the party. But there is a lot of bad shit that can happen if they do it and they aren't thinking the long game at all.

"Based" people should not be joining the military anyway. The military as an organization is pozzed already. All the bases people are doing is providing support for that.
