My friend is predicting another lockdown in the winter, but I'm still skeptical since we literally can't afford it as a country. I think the vaccine mandates are what they really want.

They sent us an alert today that someone at work tested positive. Over the last year there's only been one other person they alerted us about, in November. They made someone do the hygiene theater bullshit and walk around cleaning everything.
It's interesting to see how many people are wearing masks again in public. Before the CDC about-faced, I would say I saw ~10% of people wearing one, maybe less. Now it's about 30%-40%. I haven't seen any kids wearing masks for the past few weeks, even though the big things people are crying about on Reddit and Twitter is "YOU CAN'T LOOSEN THE RESTRICTIONS, KIDS STILL CAN'T GET VACCINATED!!!" and "KIDS ARE WALKING DISEASE VECTORS!!!" Just goes to show you the difference between the shut-ins on internet and the real world.
Also, I don't remember seeing it brought up in the thread but my memory span only lasts a couple hours at most but Gavin Newsom pulled his kids out of summer camp after pictures surfaced of them not wearing masks there, LOL. He just can't stop putting nails in his own coffin. Seems like all the other blue politicians are trying to keep up the facade, but California's Own Patrick Bateman keeps thinking he can get away with it. Hope he enjoys that recall election.
I was supposed to get my second shot two weeks ago but I'm not going to get it. I'm thinking about looking for a Moderna lot number and just faking the second shot on my vax card if necessary. Nobody actually checks anyway, I could probably write Moderna #69420 and get away with it. I've stopped wearing masks everywhere except work since the company requires it regardless of vaccination status, but I've long ditched the cloth masks and only wear surgical ones now. There's no fucking way I'm going through summer in the job I do now with a cloth mask--last year was fine because what I was doing wasn't too physically demanding, but it's so fucking hot this year and I'm not carrying around extra cloth masks for when I sweat. When I switched positions and was still wearing cloth masks I felt like I was fucking waterboarding myself after a few hours.

The Todger's (pbuh) autistic studies narrowed this down somewhat, it's related to vascular functioning, so if you have high levels of inflammation or your cells/blood vessels aren't the healthiest, you're at much greater risk of complications. Being fat is like constantly being in an inflammatory state, so that's why there is such a high correlation. Additionally, having immune system issues (whether overactive conditions/disorders or immunosuppression) greatly increases your risk. @Drain Todger probably has some more aggregated info in his pocket.
If there was an colossal retard run on masks, yeah. Otherwise? Well I work in a field where N95 dust masks (as well as other forms of PPE) are commonly used, and at no point since this all began were we not able to purchase them from various suppliers. There was a month or two last summer where actual size "M" half-face respirators were in short supply (not the cartridges/filters but the rubber mask itself), but other than that PPE has been available the whole time, and this is for industrial applications so it's not like we got some kind of priority. Technicians go through a lot of these things, service life for half-face P95 carts ends up being about 1 work week, N95 shit masks come in packages of like 25 and usually get thrown out after one use, they're not exactly hard to produce. They're produced at high volume constantly, and there are other manufacturers as well, although 3M really "owns" this market.

edit: we like to pretend all the globohomo elites have some big evil plan. But the reality is they are making shit up as they go, reacting more than guiding, and also fighting each other for power at the same time. So who knows what the fuck is going on behind the scenes.

Some people I work with are groaning that masks are on there way back. The big dog basically said as much by encouraging us to suspend breakroom/lunch meetings. And encouraging us to meet on zoom or w/e if possible. We will all roll over like little puppies when the word is spoken as well. Shit is so gay.
