Maybe I'm misunderstanding what "credit by the White House" is referring to in the above tweet, but neither Biden's speech nor the White House """fact sheet""" from today really seems to be pointing fingers in any kind of way.
As much as I'm sure the narrative will go that direction at some point, I don't think the pivot is happening just yet.
I'd bet on the blame games starting if a lot of people get really, really pissed that their second summer in a row is about to be ruined.
Biden's speech today seemed less "shifting the blame" and more "begging and pleading."

Diet and vitamin deficiency. In theory both weight and shitty western diet would make coronaviruses have more severe symptoms and mimic most of what we see in "long covid". Now why one landwhale dies and not another can just be basically summed up as needing multiple risk factors to the extent that it's basically genetic luck with few exceptions.
Most of the world is at significantly heightened risk of disease due to being too fat and having a shitty diet.

I know N95 arent enough to stop fungal pathogens though.
Its why people doing post-hurricane clean up in houses with mildew & black mold wear Tyvek suits and P100 respirators (which the cartridges should be changed at least twice a work day IIRC).
And fungal spores are magnitudes larger than viruses.

I got the vaccine just so I could go to places in peace without masks. Man I hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the butt, especially with the CDC now telling people to wear masks indoors again.

That's how they get you. The people I know who've gotten the vaccine haven't gotten because they believed they were at risk (and they're not), they got it because they wanted to travel again or believed that when the country hits that magical 70% vaccination rate everything would reopen.

These people have a martyrdom complex unlike anything else. They want you to kill them, and they were fucking infuriated that last summer that despite all their glowniggers, all their goading you on, and all their riots and lockdowns, the worst they got was Kyle Rittenhouse instead of MAGA hat death squads on the streets of every city. They were just as pissed that even after stealing an election, encouraging massive protests, and leaving the fucking Capitol Building door open and having their activists lead the way in that the Trump fans didn't actually assault or kill any politician and mostly just wandered around taking selfies.
They've long decided you're too stupid to deserve any rights or be able to make your own decisions, but they know they can't do it overnight, even with their bizarre, unscientific version of public health. It's going too slowly for them, and their getting angry. They're jerking themselves raw over the thought of MAGA hat Nazis gunning people down in the streets, and especially many blue checkmarks and journalists on Twitter dream of being the next fat Charlottesville chick or other victim of Nazis, but it's just not happening. The right just isn't shooting or assaulting these people at the rate they need, and the only thing they can do is put the boot on your neck harder while their journalists become somehow even more insane and hateful as they cheer on totalitarian ideas and gaslight the population.

So I think I am going insane with all the logical inconsistencies and cognitive dissonance the public now has.
Current reports indicate that Delta is just as transmittable in vaccinated person than unvaccinated persons. Also we know that the Delta variant came from India with likely gateways being trough airports and flight crews. Most likely with the limited number of pervious international flights, Delta was present in major cities that have the highest vaccination rates. Data from Los Angeles indicates that 20% of all cases occurred in vaccinated persons. With all of this in mind, how can they solely blame the unvaxed. We know that the vaxed could be contributing to the spread. We know they are just as infectious.
In fact, I will go so far out to argue that being vaxed gives society a false sense of security. You think you are largely safe but its like playing Russian roulette. With 1 in 5 persons being able to be infected and Delta being spread just as easily among the vaxed this false sense of security could allow for more easy transmission to persons where vaccination is less effective or not able to be vaxed; due a lack of mask adherence and social distancing. I am not opposed to the vaccine nor will it mock someone for getting it. All I am saying is the data points are everywhere and society is not making a rational choice.
Think about restaurants that only admit vaxed persons. Their is a good likelihood that a vaxed persons that has COVID is dining inside spreading the variant to possibly 20% of the patrons. Then these patrons take their restaurant Delta to their grandma's house and Delta kills the grandmother. The rational and logically consistent solution is to only provide service to those that have tested negative recently as this eliminates vaxed Delta cases. But this has not been done. Rather, the vaxed are allowed to spread Delta (if they are infected) with little to no restriction but a negative unvaxed person is ever more burdened.

It could be even worse. My country just changed to rules to crossing the border by its' own citizens. Foreigners can get in by the PCR test no problem, whereas my country now requires its' citizens to PRESENT A PROOF OF AT LEAST ONE DOSE INJECTED TO RETURN TO THEIR OWN COUNTRY! So in order for me to return home if I want to go elsewhere, I need to get jabbed and only jabbed.
And even my circle of people is now like "get vaccinated" and to my questions "why?" they're like "just because!" and they're like "don't worry, it's not as scary as it seems".
