Wasn't the person on the call with Byuu an "anonymous" mutual friend of his and Hector's, at least according to the story? I know there was some post he made that contradicted that a few dozen pages or so back, where he answered someone on twitter as if he was the one that made the doc, but still.

I don't know. There is not a single coherent narrative about how any of this bullshit supposedly happened. The story is apparently someone with no real name died, just believe me, bro, and some site that barely discussed him at all somehow murdered him just by mentioning his name.

I'm honestly starting to wonder if Byuu/Near's name isn't David Ginder. I'm really starting to wonder if the Twatter troons didn't know their name, either, and chose to take the ball and run with it because they always need to be in SCD. Seems like they're a bit behind in their cope quota, though. It is also weird how suddenly news websites and troons everywhere throw around David Ginder like candy because we think that's what their name potentially was.

Post a death certificate. Post an obituary. We've never moved the post. Post actual proof other than news websites being the total typical and doing 0 verification outside of "dude trust me." Without this, we will wait to see if the overseas death list updates. Post something certifiable and shut us up if we're wrong.

a) Ginder is a real some nobody working in Japan who died unrelated but was in the loop with byuu and asshole
b) byuu isn't Ginder
c) asshole killed byuu

Kind of. My understanding is that he made a post that he was leaving the emulation scene, but it was so schmaltzy and morose that after he went radio silent for months people were questioning if it was actually a suicide note.

This doesn't prove they are alive or that this is another sockpuppet of Near/Byuu. The time between the post on ares.dev and Reddit is long enough that someone could have been watching for updates and saw it.

Yes, at the beginning of all this Hector claimed he was just delivering a message from a mutual friend, who had met up with David in real life before.

I was thinking that too. Where did the name "David Kirk Ginder" come from? Was it from us looking at his Facebook with his husband or Hector/ Wayne Beckett?

Also how did we come to the conclusion David and Patrick were married?

The original dox came from Queefer Madness, a user who just joined the site in Near's original thread. How they got the information has not been revealed. Their posts seem to imply they got David's information through their husband, but that would imply you would already need to know who they are and that they're married.

The closest I have come to verifying this is that there was a data leak from years ago for a site called PS3Hax.net with this line in it:

The birthdate appears to be one week later than Ginder's (some people just put in a slightly off date on purpose when registering online), the email address is byuu's, the IP address shows up as "Optimum Online (Cablevision Systems)", and the password hash is easily looked up online to be "tony57" which was verified to at least match with his patreon account. Several other gaming and console hacking related sites in the same leak also show the same email address and password being used there.
