I feel like a fence rider on this whole thing. I can totally get where Null was coming from trying to help Chris, but I can also see why it’s never really worth trying to help Chris.

In my heart I can’t help but sympathize with Josh though, and could see myself doing something similar even. Null if you happen to see this I think ur a good dude and although it may have made people call you a fag I think it was cool of you to at least try to look out for Chris while you could.

Chris was never truly worth the help post 2010. The guy has consistently and publicly shown he takes any and all empathy/help for granted and if anything it only furthers his sense of entitlement. Chris is literally one of those "dont feed the cat or itll come for more" cases, he doesnt care WHERE the money or attention comes from he just wants it. So sure, I can commend Null for trying to be a good person, but sometimes good people get taken advantage of by bad people, and Chris, autism or not, was and evidently still is a bad person.

Noticed people discussing institutionalization. This is highly unlikely in this crime and with his level of functioning.

It is rare someone gets instituionalzied for a crime because it requires the person to actually have a disorder that caused them to do it. Such as a schizophrenic person truly believing that killing a person saves them. It requires an inability to tell right from wrong in the moment due to mental disorder.

I totally see why people would disagree, but it feels like doing this particular crime is self evident proof of being insane. No functioning capacity for moral judgement would send those texts if genuine and uninfluenced.
