Something to think about:
One sad (and infuriating) side-effect of the Idea Guy saga and its fallout has been that going forward, the way was opened for bad actors to do infinitely worse things to Chris by fucking with his already warped mental state. At the height of that saga, the Idea Guys got Chris to send them thousands of dollars, forced him to physically abuse Barb, and forced him to debase himself all by emotionally manipulating someone who is basically retarded. The entire Dimensional Merge bullshit basically happened at the Idea Guys' behest and it's only gotten worse since then.
The fallout from this was that the door was left wide open for further abuse by bad actors, since ways past Chris's defenses were found and, predictably, bad actors were pulling in even as the likes of Null and Marvin actively tried to run interference, with shitheads like the Teen Troon Squad. We were always going to, going forward, wonder if the latest bout of erratic behavior from OPL was something he thought to do himself, something he was put up to via emotional manipulation and blackmail, or some combination of the two.
With this thing coming to light, I'm reminded of the above. We won't know a damn thing until Law Enforcement gets done, but it behooves all of us to remember that Chris, for all his flaws and failings, is still someone who's been repeatedly subject to campaigns to warp his worldview and get him to do what people want. He was already abused into physically attacking Barb once, and he had a tearful fucking breakdown because people held the little world of make-believe he created for himself hostage.
If it does turn out he did this, and it doesn't turn out he was put up to it by outside actors, I'm going to be fucking stunned.
