I think shad left drawing for a multitude of reasons
1.) He is no longer counter culture and he refuses to be mainstream, so he is purposefully killing his popularity in an attempt to become an underground artist again
2.) His peers have left him behind. Arin went on to do game grumps and tv-level shit with YT. Oney does music, 3D art, video games (WHEN IS IT COMING OUT??), and runs a popular let's play channel. Psychicpebbles is doing a show with [AS]. A bunch of the other, older degenerate porn artists (cyancapsule, merunyaa, doxyonta, etc) are doing big sprawling projects. Shad is too much of an outcast/red flag to do any of that
3.) Belle Delphine was the last meme he really had any reason to draw. Bowsette, RE8 mother, Samsung Sam, etc are all too popular for him to throw his hat in and be the most "edgy" or "gross out".
4.) He's turned a new leaf, being that aloof dude bro that doesn't care because he cashed out on Bitcoin (like Oney and psychicpebbles)
5.) All of the above
Anyway, I used to love shadman, but then I grew up and realized that he was fucked way beyond sane.

An eternal reminder that people who get all upset over the age of characters had the PERFECT opportunity with this dude, cause he actually did everything they accused others of doing. But of course, the one time they would have been right; they fucked it up with years of doing the same shit as always, going after the non-offending stuff, thereby making people infinitely less likely to listen to them, and thereby letting this motherfucker get away with all this. Shad used to hang with Oney, Psychicpebbles and the rest of them? Did they work on any projects together, or where they just bros? I recall Shad was always a fucked up fellow, and while the rest of them were pretty fucked up, shad was on another level.

something that really shits me about shad is his website hosts shitty low res versions of his pictures. he uploads a select few of the true resolution versions to twitter, but it's not enough. and searching on twitter is cancer. some of his super edgelordy pics had such small, fine details, that are totally lost on the site. among other variants of other pictures. there's nothing i hate more than media released and redistributed at lower than original quality when you KNOW someone has MUCH BETTER.
