As horrible as I feel saying this, Barb made Chris who he is. She was the one who made zero effort making amends with family and friends, she ruined any semblance of financial independence, and she make her house a hoarder's nightmare. She's obviously a victim, but she designed her own hell with no escape but the state.

I posted about it a lot yesterday but Barb was also documented even before bob died of making chris spoon with her and shit. Plus the fact that Cole described her as being very abusive both physically and psychologically long before Chris was even born makes me strongly suspect it's less a clear cut case of elder abuse and a much more complex case of a parent grooming and being creepy with their disabled kid for years and it's only just now really hitting the fan.

Chris belongs in a mental hospital bare minimum but I think its important to think about what the reaction would be if the genders were reversed because I still hold the stance that if this was a disabled, severely mentally ill woman talking about blowing her elderly father who has a documented history of doing very questionable shit the reaction would be a bit different.
