You can't even make a case for trolls being responsible for this.
Chris was never going to be normal. He would never had a chance to get a gf through normal means. He probably wouldn't have trooned out. But he would have never become financially independent. With parents like his, the game was rigged from the start.
Their house was a health hazard. Bob would have died here eventually. It probably could have killed Chris and Barb as well. Anyways, both of them would have found a way to fuck the inheritance up, and would have been forced to a state of misery eventually. Chris would probably continue living thanks to neetbux and autismobux. People IRL would probably try to manipulate him, I don't know if there were any people IRL like Null to help him. Things could have gotten worse way faster.
With his sexual misery, he would probably eventually do this shit to his mother.
People would have done fucked up shit to him even if he didn't post his comics online. Chris was a magnet for that.

I'm pretty sure that with two violent misdemeanors and court ordered therapy on his record he's permanently barred from owning a gun. That aside I don't think he'd be smart enough to know how to turn the safety off.

Something I didn't even consider is what's gonna happen to the property when all this shit boils over and the dust settles down? Anyone who can do a simple background check on this shit would have zero interest in buying the house due to the likelihood of people going there and fucking around because of it's history.

In my opinion the entire property should be bulldozed and totally demolished, and left a vacant empty space in-between whatever other houses.

The US isn't nearly that uptight yet. This case actually may proceed in a more healthy way, just because no one can ignore it and leave him be with all these eyeballs. Without solid rape evidence, or if Barb is lucid, in my area the cops would just leave it be if the two of them seem content. They can live together, it doesn't cost anyone but them money, they can probably kinda take care of one another..... just shrug and move on. As long as they have solid proof that the house is unlivable, or CWC can't self-care, he may trade up into state accommodations, but compared to some people I've seen left alone for life, he's very high functioning.

To be honest, any time I hear about older ~40+ women having a baby while bragging about how "it's totally healthy, perfect even!" I have this unbidden mental image of CWC. Sure, everything was great and he was totally healthy.....it's just a time bomb you don't know about until it hits the teens. It's my second greatest fear in having kids.

If no one returns to it, or only the most precious of belongings go to Chris and/or Barb.. I'd imagine a lot of it would be sold? What isn't is trashed. Maybe some things would end up in a Goodwill or something, if there's any family involvement, which I doubt.
