I've been reserving saying anything until there was anything truly damning Chris outside of the audio logs, but Null's CONFIDENTIAL UPDATE straight from his conversations with Chris is the smoking gun to me on top of everything else now given context by that.

I've been here since before it was Kiwi Farms. I was lurking far before that and following the original sagas as they unfolded when Chris was a novelty on 4chan, which ultimately crystalized what a lolcow and "internet people watching" truly is to me. I'm not sure any of us could have done anything to avert this. We can pretend maybe the all the trolling early on made Chris less agreeable to seeking help, but he had always done monumentally stupid and fucked up shit unprompted regardless of any trolls and was rarely cooperative or receptive to any therapy. I just can't help but wonder how the fuck it ended up like this.

When he ends up in court once again, if they don't treat him with kid gloves this time, then it very well might be the end of the saga. The best outcome for Chris is that he ends up with a suspended sentence and is forced to be completely self sufficient in some way, possibly with some sort of tugboat from somewhere and a social worker to tardwrangle him, since there's a snowball's chance in hell he is allowed within 10 miles of Barb. I don't expect Chris to be able to not break the terms of probation even if this "ideal" outcome would happen. In the worst case he's going up the river for God knows how long. Either way, he almost certainly will be a registered sex offender and that is going to limit a lot of what he can do, for all that it matters.

He'll be shitting himself and doing nothing, the question is where and by what consequence.
