I don't think Barb is that twisted. Chris is gross. He's always been pushy and handsy - just ask Megan. And once Christ believes something is fated to be, he latches onto it with no regard for anybody but himself.

Now, you get to be old and frail - your male caretaker with a literal god complex, and tenuous grip on reality starts to get handsy and propositions you for sex and you don't even know what Trumadamalaprezure. You say No, You say "she's hurting you" because if you say "he's hurting you," he chimps out over his pronouns. And worse yet, this sick motherfucker acts as if he has divine mandate. Using the holy, sacred number 3, he rapes you every 3rd day - Did i mention he's into the occult-like, magical thinking? He brags about china to others like that obnoxious kid who goes "I have a secreeeeeeet". You resign yourself to your fate.

Even with Chris being the only one describing the situation, Barb appears 100% to be the victim here. We chuckled from the sidelines as Chris's dellusions worsened and worsened. how haughty we were.

To simplify christory I reckon we break it down into 3 eras. The Prologue (not an era of active Christory, but sets up the story we're watching)

The Classic Era: Attraction Sign Shenanigans to the Call Out Saga
The Descent Era: Formerly the Modern Era - starts with the death of Bob. Ends with Chris raping Barb
The Endgame Era: Starts with what I'm gonna call "J.30.21" it's the fallout all the way to Chris's death.

Everyone seems thinks that this pretty much confirms that Chris is raping his mother, but in my opinion, it pretty much indicates the opposite - that Chris was baited into saying these things by a troll, without actually having done them.

Think about it - imagine if someone purporting to be an elderly disabled women messages Chris and attempts to seduce him.
If the troll specifically constructed his persona to be as Barb-like as possible and then asked Chris "Tell me, do you have any experiences with women like me? ;)", would Chris be inclined to bring up the closest resembling person he knows?

Sure, doing so wouldn't be normal, but it's still Chris. Him answering with "yeah i fucked my mom" is almost predictable, which is why I still can't discount the chance of the entire thing being fake.
