I just realized that homeless saga might be the better option for Chris in the long. With how easy it is to find him just by his car alone, and the fact that weens are no doubt going to continously call any motel that Chris stays in, it just might be easier for him to just live in the wild then constantly getting kicked out and banned from anymore establishments.

The Potter's Field saga gets kickstarted soon after because I can't possibly picture Chris surviving on the streets with his insane delusions and torrid narcissism for more than a week at best.

jokes aside, we all knew that as soon as a major life change happened to chris, it'd be the start of a new chapter. I think that chapter looks like a long quiet before a rapid decline. His family won't touch him, and he's the perfect combination for homelessness: no financial capital (broke) and no social capital (nobody will let him stay with them)

if he somehow magically skirts any and all consequence, then it'll be when barb dies. a few months or years of silence followed by eviction

however, my money is that the quiet before the decline is due to him being in prison or a home
