Ugh, I saw that on my facebook feed and was baffled by the number of likes and comments on it. Wouldn't you know it, the very guy in the Barney suit himself actually commented on it.

I mean the way I see it, how could children not like Barney? He's cute, colorful and is non threatening and he sings songs and plays with children
Even when I was in 1st grade, I found that shit to be insulting. I was more of an Arthur fan back then, BTW.

You're like the children's show equivalent of a beer "snob" who says that BudLite sucks while sucking down a Coors instead, you know that?

So what's the plan? You going to continue this crusade against a character from a children's show into your 30's?

On his deathbed in 40 years, a priest will kneel by his side, asking him if he has any last requests before he goes to meet the lord, and with the last bit of energy his mortal coil can give, he shall reply "Destroy...Barney..."

I've been doing some digging on this guy and found a few points of interest.

https://archive.is/BBjHT Post #343. According to the post he was still in high school at the time of writing it, which would put him anywhere between 14 and 18 at the time of writing it. And he has a twin brother.

Under x86x2, he made this post.

For those that have been wondering why I've kept comparing My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic to Barney & Friends all the time, here's why. I've started out as a quite decent kid in high school. I had an IEP (Individual Education Plan), meaning I had access to an area where there would be computers for those that needed them. This area was one of three connected rooms that special ed kids could use during their free periods. One of these kids, Ben, 19 years old (now 21), would go onto the computers and look up Barney videos (more specifically, trailers for Barney videos on IMDB). Knowing my 15-year-old self, I'd go on the computer next to him searching up videos of Cannibal Corpse as an act of rebellion (for lack of a better word). It was wonderful knowing that I would never be this guy. It wasn't until December 2010 when a commentary on this video popped up, basically making me realize why I even hated Barney to begin with. It was because of the EXTREME pandering to the 2-3 year old demographic and only teaching basic stuff like colors and shapes. Thus, I knew I would NEVER be this guy. Then came January 2011, when My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic came to Canada. Some of the people who were on the MLP thread like me know that MLP came on right after Barney, so I was to dismiss it as girly, kindergartener bullshit. A few months later, I gave the show a chance, and started to watch it and record the episodes to DVD. This, however, led me to emotional and mental conflicts, knowing that I wasn't any better than the Barney fans mainly due to the scheduling and how I would come in danger with being called a retard because of its relations. I've tried to stay low about it at school and it's haunted me since then. Still, I've kept that as a minor nuisance and still watched it. Starting September 2011, my interest in MLP began to diminish, mainly because the episodes weren't coming to Canada and I needed my fix without having to search up episodes. However, by January 2012, the shit hit the fan. I discovered a user by the name of Supergodzilla12, a ranter who liked BOTH MLP AND Barney. At this point, I could not contain all my WHY. I now find myself being really depressed, mainly because I think I'm starting to deteriorate back to my former self, a shell of what I was. I now start to hate MLP again and cringe whenever I see clips of the show. I cringe because I don't want to be a brony, automatically associating myself with the Barney fandom because of this. However, at the same time, I still want to see what is happening with MLP in case I miss out on some new meme that comes around. I am now not any better than Ben because of this connection. Now, I'm starting to listen to Cannibal Corpse more than ever to try and restore my maturity. Now the only thing I want in life is not to be that guy. I've had dreams of drowning those I hate in Lake Huron (inspired by Opeth's Deliverance) as a way of expressing my hate, and have started watching Saw movies endlessly as it is one of the only things that really pleases me now. I troll 4chan about this problem, but no-one gives a crap. Silent screams are the worst. My sig is from Cannibal Corpse's Beyond The Cemetery, thus describing my thoughts on this. All I can say is.. Help me before I become the person I hate.

So he really is a brony, he's just in denial about it.

No, that was when the whole thing started out. I started out kinda neutral because I didn't really know a lot about it, but as things grew, I just started despising it and its fanbase more and more.
You're still a fan. You're just a hatefan, which is possibly even more autistic than being a normal fan.

It is possible to watch episodes of the show and hate it at the same time. Take for example, the "Anti-Bronies Watch" series by the Anti-Brony Coalition. A group of the people in that group recorded themselves watching several episodes of the series to show why they don't like the series. They also planned to do one for Equestria Girls at one point, but plans for that fell through.

Pretty much the only thing worse than or equal to a rabid MLP fan (well unless you count Steven Universe but that's another story) are the hatefans of it. You, Barneyfag, are the archetypical hatefan. You're pretty much the sole reason why people don't give a fuck about shitposting with ponies anymore, because they know you, like the mega autist that you are, are going to show up.

In fact, no one does it for any reason but to fuck with you now. I'd wager that's 90% of "stealth" threads on /v/ alone, just trying to poke the chimp into sperging out.

You've gotten so bad in fact that a number of mods actually played with the idea of easing up on Rule 15 mainly because people like you are a bigger hassle than the maybe one or two guys that does it out of malice/ignorance. Basically, the rule solidified the easiest way to troll boards (and mostly because of people like you) and created a lot of shitposting headaches. So yeah.

Gotta say, that sounds really fucking autistic. Like, more autistic than a group of people who are together in liking something.

Delusions of grandeur is pretty much defined by this behavior.

People who suffer these delusions also go out of their way to expect things to change because somehow, sheer acknowledgement is enough to change the course of anything. Except what you do is the equivalent of expecting black paint to turn whiter after it dries- what, do you expect Barney to get taken off the air for good because you think you'll terrify PBS into complying? There's another word of wisdom -- doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome when there won't be is insanity defined.

Also A+++ on the passive triggered-responses without breaking down into "GO FUCKING KILL YOURSELF" spergfests, though it's what you want to do so don't pretend you don't want to curse anyone's life over a TV show. It's the exact opposite, and you waste time studying just to express your hatred.

Dude.

I want you to sit down and read that post to yourself.

Once you have, please try and tell me that that doesn't sound like one of the most autistic things you've ever heard.

That may be, but that still doesn't explain anything about why you decided to feel an anti-Barney/pony crusade was necessary. Or why you needed to write to your school about this.

The more I look into it, the more I think @Gensdupays has a point.

You do know that My Little Pony (at least the official canon, not the shit the fanbase makes) and Barney are entirely harmless to children and it brings them happiness?
Like what are you going to do if you're in Walmart scowling at the pony merchandise and a little girls tells her mom "Mommy, Twilight Sparkle is my favorite!"
Are you going to flip your shit?

No, I wouldn't do that. I don't sperg out in front of little children like that. Besides, she's part of the show's target demographic, so I wouldn't get too upset. Hell, last week, I even had Tara Strong sign my Fairly Oddparents DVD and acted relatively normal in front of her, fully aware that there'd be people in the line wanting to show off their Twilight Sparkle cosplays or whatnot to her. I don't act like "the raging autist" in public like you'd expect me to be.

I wish we had a "doubt" rating. Because I honestly doubt it, given what you've said to us about your brother.

There have been studies about the effectiveness and benefit of children watching Barney, and they've been posted in here. I'm more inclined to believe a peer-reviewed study by experts with many years of experience in their field than some mentally ill 4chan troll who can't keep shit to himself. So you're objectively wrong about it being bad for kids, apparently. It's the opposite.

As for adults watching it, you've lied so much about this whole thing that I don't know what to believe. But I do know based on what your current story is that you're incredibly insecure with yourself. Probably goes along with your many mental illnesses.

Alright, then. If you are perfectly capable of acting like a rational human being, why don't you do so?

@x86x2

You persisted in forwarding your crusade where it was not welcome, this includes your area of education and other real-life establishments. I doubt your professor wanted to pick apart a kids show (in fact I hope he suspended you from the course because of various disruption), there are bigger mysteries and pursuits in the world than a tinfoil hatter's "thesis" on ADHD Material. No matter how you spin it, 4Chan mods had to get creative just so you can fucking stop. For once. That's just as bad as a kicking and screaming toddler.

Seek help.

Nobody cares. This much. Ever. About a kids show. Ever. In fact my youngest relatives in 1998 didn't even give these shows a second glance, they just came into their line of sight and it was done. Nobody was changed, nobody was freaking hurt man.
