So with Chris in jail, and very likely seeing real prison time be it 2 years or more, and it being possible that Barb is put in a elderly home if she really is mentally gone and incapable of taking care of herself be it groceries or driving, and maybe not being able to afford a daily check up nurse or putting her in a home to protect her from Chris ever being near her, what do you think will happen to the house.
As seen through the data of the financhu saga, they still have about half the mortgage to pay off, so the bank owns it and will take it if neither will be living there.
But will the bank actually try to re-sell it? Will they sell it as is hoard and all for a cheap price? Will they throw out the hoard, then try to re-sell it?
Or will they just say fuck it and tear it down and maybe build anew on it.
Chris' life has now made the house famous. On one hand retards may want to buy it as soon as possible to be apart of Christory, after all people bought his shit """ironically""". On the other hand people could treat it like a haunted house and no one want to buy it.
As for a tear down, wouldn't it be kind of a waste after it was remodel/repaired after the house fire?

Assuming the bank gets the house, which is likely even if Chris doesn't end up in a facility, they'll just clear all the horseshit out and sell as is. I doubt they'd go through the trouble of selling a bunch of random trinkets, and the house will be bought almost instantly.
Best case scenario they auction everything

Can Chris even afford to make the payments with his tugboat alone?
I mean, yes but no. According to LendingTree, Virginia is the 9th highest mortgage payment state at an average of $1,243 a month. The last time I heard Chris tell the details about his tugboat, he said he was getting like $1,300 a month. And that was in like 2008-9 when he said it. It probably is more now, be it time and now that he's a autistic man with only 1 and soon to be 0 handlers. I think it's been establish Chris will never lose his SSI.
As for the no part, I mean its Chris. He'd very likely blow through $600 of it before paying the mortgage. And then there's the necessities like gas, electric and water. Chris has to an extant proven he can pay bills when on a routine. But his frivolities would fuck him. He'd almost certainly not be able to pay for internet, cable, streaming services, lego and daily McDonalds.
But if Chris could limit his monthly food budget to $150-200 a month, which is easy as ONE person, and live without extra, yeah, maybe the tugboat could keep him from being homeless. There's also the retards that donate and pay for his shit, who will likely continue to do so after this.
But again, the bank won't keep it waiting for him when(if) he goes to jail, especially for longer than a year.

It entirely depends on Barb's status.

Regardless, I don't think Chris will ever return there. The state won't let him be alone around Barb, and if she's not living there and has some sort of custodial thing imposed on her, they're probably going to have the house sold (this also depends on whether it still has the second mortgage or if Barb really did get a reverse mortgage fairly recently).

The house is Barb's only asset, and it's not worth enough to cover her various debts, so Chris doesn't get it under any scenario.

We should have a better idea soon enough.

Which how frail Barb is (and what happened) and the state of the house when the find her, I'd bet all my shit she's not going back to the house. And she doesn't even own it, the bank does (not that it makes a difference) so even if Chris doesn't see jail, he won't see the house. His shit is gone. He can't be alone with his mom. GG

non-american fag here, if you own a house do you still have payments to make on it? excluding like “state tax”

like how much would Chan need if the shit heap is owned?
I'm pretty sure if you fully own, as in you don't have a mortgage anymore, you only have to pay the bullshit taxes like land/propterty and state. Those taxes shouldn't be even half of what you were paying in a mortgage. Its all a percentages game then.
In America we still consider it "owning" your own home if you have a mortgage. A mortgage is essentially the loan you bought the house for that you're paying back monthly.
We don't consider it "owning" a house if you are "renting" as in you have landlord who "owns" the house. Then its just like renting an apartment, except its a house.

Around my neck of the woods, gas, water, electricity are just over or sometimes a lot over or under $100 each, for each month. So Chris would at least owe around $350 a month in utilities. And of course he has to have his internet and tv, so add another $200. Then for someone his size another $150-$300 (because of fast food) in food. Then another $400 at least in bullshit (games, toys, lego, sex stuff, gasoline).
Pretty sure he's paying off a car too. And with his history and lack of funds he's probably getting fucked real good on monthly payments AND most car loan lenders require you to have FULL coverage while leasing a car, and thats at least $120, and more if your traffic history is bad, and Chris' is BAD.

Thank you for explaining, was expecting to be called a faggot or some shit by someone, but America laws/tax and shit just go over my head.

But that makes sense, definitely gonna lose the house imo. Deserves it anyway.
