I think there are instances back then, maybe not anymore, of convicts doing that after serving an x amount of time, and had done so with taxpayer money. In Chris' case, I doubt it since a counter argument can be made that "Chris is doing it to get out of the act that he did."

We sadly don't know all charges because the guy on the phone didn't ask if there were any other charges. Incest could be added on top of rape and so could other things. I'm assuming the DA is holding off from more charges, if JUST incest is the case right now, in order to wait for an interrogation so Chris can incriminate himself more. For all we know, that interrogation could be happening right now. Gunt said Chris will be arraigned tomorrow. After that, we most likely won't have any updates until the actual court date, assuming Chris doesn't plead guilty immediately. But the charges will be 100% confirmed tomorrow.

Or they could already immediately prove incest which was enough to arrest him and after the kit, interviews, analysis, etc more charges are added. This means literally nothing about rape or anything else other than confirmation that he did fuck his mother
