Because journos are literal scum-of-the-earth leeches, and all they do is look at the topics trending on Twitter, search for the first video on the topic on YouTube, then transcribe or copypaste that verbatum to an article with a clickbait headline that will get it trending on Google's search algorithm.

Literally their entire job is just to spit out hot garbage riding off current trends, and it does not matter if it's true or not.

Is there any way to get access to interrogation or interview tapes legally? Like through a freedom of information request?

I doubt they would release it during the ongoing trial, but after everything is over for archival purposes, perhaps?

I fully agree, even if Chris was fully instructed to do this by trolls he cannot escape the fact that he perpetrated something so utterly despicable. If the allegations are true he must be put on the Sex Offender Registry so he can never potentially harm another soul. I just really hope the detective assigned to this case is thinking the same damn thing as I am:

1. How was the woman in the leaked discord call aware of what Chris did? As we know from the Null girlfriend emails Chris was smart enough to know that molesting your own mother is not something you should brag about.
2. Was Chris communicating with anyone else who may have encouraged such actions?

I'm convinced Chris has told (or is in the process of telling) the Police everything when they showed the literal mountain of condemnable evidence. If there was anyone who encouraged such behavior I want them punished as well.

What I suspect is that a female trolls was chatting with Chris for long periods of time talking about how sexy incest is to them. This is not the same as telling a stranger to "KYS" on the internet, it's way closer to the Michelle Carter fiasco.

I think he has a weak grasp of reality, but not in the obvious way. All this shit about goddesses and dimensional merges is really window dressing for the real issue. He has a mental age of about 6 and views the world that way. He thinks that, basically, the world revolves around him. If he wants something, it is right for him to get that thing and anyone opposed must be wrong. Look at the Sonichu comics - he always wrote himself as this noble hero beleaguered by a world that hated him for no reason.

The stuff about goddesses and dimensions is, IMO, less that he believes it, more that he doesn’t understand why other people wouldn’t believe it.

If I were defending him, I’d argue that he doesn’t know right from wrong, because he doesn’t understand those concepts as they relate to the world outside of himself.

Maybe not this specific route, but I think he was always doomed to fall into some weird belief system or even a cult. He's too gullible for his own good, and with the internet at his disposal, even without trolls guiding him there'd be holistic bullshit peddlers etc that would get him to believe in weird shit just to buy products, like those tarot cards he's always posting. Guess he's lucky he didn't wind up on some compound somewhere as a eunuch serving a megalomaniac cult leader, and the world is lucky enough that Chris doesn't have the charisma or charm to be the cult leader himself. :|

It's so weird how the sex pest/sexual assault/incest vibes have been a thing for years and now that he did it people are trying to shift blame that "omg the trolls made him rape his mom!" Why can't you accept that Chris is just awful and disgusting and always has been. He isn't an innocent retard that isn't capable of evil unless others somehow force him into it. He wanted to fuck barb, so he did.
