Laurel Hubbard, first transgender Olympian, eliminated from weightlifting competition - "Hubbard, who made history as the first transgender athlete to compete at the Olympics, was eliminated after failing to record a single lift in three attempts in Monday’s over-87-kilogram super-heavyweights."

Laurel Hubbard’s groundbreaking Olympics debut didn’t quite go as planned.

Hubbard, who made history as the first transgender athlete to compete at the Olympics, was eliminated after failing to record a single lift in three attempts in Monday’s over-87-kilogram super-heavyweights.

The New Zealand native missed her first lift, at 120 kg in the snatch, with the bar going over her head and behind her back. The judges then ruled against her second attempt, at 125 kg. Her third attempt, also at 125 kg, also resulted in the bar going over her head, resulting in an unceremonious end to her competition.

Hubbard’s inclusion in the Games has proven to be a divisive topic, given that the 43-year-old had not competed internationally as a weightlifter until she began her gender transition at the age of 35.

Though Hubbard satisfies the protocol for transgender athletes as first established by the International Olympic Committee in 2015, her testosterone levels are still several times greater than the standard for biological women.

Essentially, yes, but Hubbard didn't try. Hubbard half-assed every lift, but his best wouldn't beat the worst day of the winner. Those girls don't play with their lifting

If he'd made the 125 kg that would have put him in contention for silver or bronze. He's 43 and apparently had injuries, as a couple years ago he managed 131 kg in a competition. The Chinese woman just dominated everyone though, with double Olympic records.

Didn't this goblin break his arm lifting at some point?
See the tranny lost. This makes trannies less threatening to female sports, and further validates their trooniness. If one man is weaker than women that means there is no difference at all.
Yep. Only narrative matters to these people, and now they have a (stupid) way to superficially deflect reality-based criticism of their insanity.

Without making specific claims about this particular Chinese lifter (because who gives a fuck about the Olympics, lol), this tranny bullshit is a huge gift to countries like China that were already sending suspected men to compete.

Trans bullshit ruins you mentally, and as weird as it sounds, it's one of the most important things when trying to lift.
No, it is a very normal thing to hone your mind to coordinate with your body in athletics in general. If you can't do that, you will fuck up horrendously and possibly gain sustained injuries.

Weightlifiting especially demands this, because you do need every fibre of your being to be working at it to lift that weight and to concentrate all the way to make sure you come out safe. If you can't listen to your body, you shouldn't even be lifting in the first place.

I can't say either that troons are very mentally sound.

He would have to do 153 kg as a clean and jerk to win bronze, which is 1 kg away from his lifetime best. Wouldn't have happened either way

That Chinese woman literally holds every record, world and Olympic, for this weight class. She's way too good.

Also, China isn't sending men in to compete as women for the idiots who think that.

Yeah, but even as a 43 year-old doing below his previous performance he was still in medal contention. It's going to be interesting when we see Hubbard 2.0 compete, some 25 year-old without the age and injury issues.

I'm just gonna come in from the left field here, and go for the narrative that isn't really being spoken of.
I just think the IAAF made a very calculated choice to allow only fully hormone treated + still on hormones (obviously), operations done, living as a "woman" for several years + legal name change for a reason.
And that reason is, the whole process makes them exceedingly weak. Major surgeries that can come with infections\sepsis\long term healing etc, which take a huge toll on your body, major hormone treatment that comes with stroke\heart attack etc warnings at an early age.
I think this was just the reality of the situation coming together. In all the other sports where we are seeing trans compete against Females, they have pretty much just gone "I identify as a woman" and are allowed to compete, none of the above requirements fulfilled, and thus, with male biology intact, they can outperform Females, easy.
But, that's just my two cents.

Now he's not just a failed male athlete, he's a failed female athlete too.
Now he needs to troon out again as non-binary.
But also, apparently he's the son of some quite important New Zealand multimillionaire politician, so it could be that his daddy lubricated the regulators and or the higher ups so that his son could compete with women.

Why China need to send a troon when they can send a highly competent (or jacked-up) women?
